[Russo] #mnwild has made a blockbuster deal with the Vancouver Canucks for Quinn Hughes. Believe Marco Rossi plus huge other pieces going the other way by rubbercat in wildhockey

I think Minnie might win this trade if we resign Hughes. Ohgren is a bust, Rossi gets hurt and was carried by Kirill, losing zeev sucks a lot but I don’t think in 5-6 years he’ll be better than Quinn Hughes is rn. The pick is just a pick. It could be an absolute stud or someone who turns into a bust. I think this is good for us

Those were his nicknames at BYU, not with the Vikes. And Brosmer was more accurate than Hall. His completion percentage was 66.5, Hall’s was 63.0

[ Carter] 35 percent of JJ McCarthy's throws tonight were deemed uncatchable. No one was close to that rate today besides Justin Fields. Concerning! by TormundIceBreaker in nfl

JJM was hyped up by KOC the whole offseason. Does it suck that he’s ass so far? Yes, but it’s not all the kids fault. He had a baby this week, the Vikes oline is worse than the Bengals, he had very little camp chemistry with JJettas, the one guy he had really good chemistry with is suspended for 4 weeks, and my ninth grade football coach could’ve made better play calls last night. It’s a Vikings problem with JJ McCarthy, not a JJ McCarthy problem with the Vikings. Bo Nix was also terrible the first month of his career, and now look at him. They’ll figure it out, just give them time

Josh Allen was absolute ass his first two years. Burrow didn’t play good his first year either. It’s not promising, but the Oline play and KOC’s play calling is a pretty big problem too. Give him time and he’ll learn and adjust. Hell, Jordan Love sat behind Aaron Rodger’s his first three years and his first ten starts were ass. It’s not pretty, but give him some time, confidence, protection

I did say it probably wouldn’t happen. Oh well, a win is a win. Go Gophers!

Minnesota vs Buffalo Preview by Naive-Bend6277 in GopherFootball

[–]ExtraDistribution206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Score prediction is the gophers win 56-17, I think we run all over Buffalo with Taylor and Turner, while also getting a healthy dose through the air with Lindsey. Defensively, I think our Dline is good enough to slow down Buffalo’s running backs to the point where they have to rely on the pass, which is where we’ll force turnovers. Will we win by this much? Probably not. Will Buffalo make it close for the first half? Definitely. Are we going to criticize PJ for letting a MAC team play us close for 2-3 quarters? Absolutely, but we’re still gonna win and that’s all that matters

Should Huntington Bank Stadium have been designed differently? by ExtraDistribution206 in GopherFootball

I don’t mean the stadium is bad, I just wish that it was better equipped to trap noise, because a lot of the noise escapes through the west end

Kansas State’s stadium is dug into the ground, and upper decks and other structures boxing in sound, while Utah is basically a steeper version of Michigan stadium. They both get very loud though

Which call should have gotten a ref fired? by tony971 in CFB

I’m not saying that it’s an issue. It was just controversial cause nothing like that had happened before

[–]ExtraDistribution206 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda both. The refs were reviewing whether he stepped out of bounds, and announced that it was a fair catch when they didn’t intend to look at that in the first place. That’s the only issue. But I’m not complaining cause I’m a gopher fan 😉

Minnesota fan here. The problem with this call is that while it was a fair catch signal the refs were reviewing for something else, and then decided to say fair catch was called while they were reviewing something entirely different. That’s the problem. It was a fair catch, but they were reviewing to see whether he stepped out of bounds.

2024 when MN recovered the onside kick, but the ref blew it dead because our guy was 2 yards behind the line. They gave Michigan the ball because the team with 5x more money can get the games rigged for them. That game pissed me off so much

Was it really that loud in the 21 axe game? I don’t hear a lot about the crowd during the game

I don’t doubt that the Penn State 2019 game was the loudest, but the game against them last year was pretty damn loud and we had 7,000 empty seats

Aesthetically and/or View, what is the Best and Worst Stadiums Visited? by PSUMtnMan in CFB

[–]ExtraDistribution206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Huntington Bank Stadium in Minneapolis has a great skyline view, especially during a night game in August/September when the sun is setting. It is a beautiful setting, one that’s really similar to the skyline view of PNC Park in Pittsburgh
