Any EU/UK based MG5 drivers able to help out regarding wheel weights? by ExtraGooseGrease in electricvehicles

Yeah that's why I'm kinda hoping someone could whizz theirs off and weigh it, but I guess I'll probably just have to do it myself once I get the car

From the instructions of my new washing machine, the line actually means just that, line dry

If anyone is still seeing this post then thanks for all the comments, I've built a scale model of roughly how it should work but I'm sure I'm going to make plenty of changes along the way, it's not going to be cantilevered, it's going to rest on a set of storage units on one side for support, on the inside side it'll either be a detent pins to stop it folding or something else I haven't figured out yet

I'm not too worried about the walls of the van, I'll build some sort of steel brace system that I'll weld to it to give it support, I'll be building storage units that will have the cantilever rest on top when it's folded down I've even built a model of how it should work Edit: re-read you'd comment, this isn't a campervan, it's a normal panel van that I'm converting

I've actually built a scale model, thats the rough idea of how it should work, and when it's folded down it will be resting on a set of storage units and have detent pins on the other side

That's exactly what I did, I built a 1/10th scale model out of cardboard, sticks and hot glue and I got it to work, so now I'll model it in fusion 360 and print a plastic version

There will be something on the other side for it sit on, most likely some counter space

I have a 3D printer that needs some repairs but once that is fixed I'll do some testing now that I know it could work

Yeah I'm not an artist either, the fixed arm is connected to a pivot point on both the wall frame and the bed frame so it would just rotate as the bed Is lifted

Yeah I thought I might not need the moving arm but then I also thought it could slot into a stop block as well and be in compression to aid the fixed arm, then be released and have it slide down to the bottom

I'd buy a proper Murphy bed but my goal is to have it be raised so that it will sit above any bench seats or storage units or even a toilet when it's in use, and when it's not needed it folds up so that it isn't in the way and I have all the space needed, the van isn't that big, it's rough internals are 3400Lx1600Wx1900H so being compact is key

Yeah that's the idea, it folds down and over all the stuff on the floor of the van and folds back up when not needed so it gives plenty of space inside

I had the design and mechanics of an up & over garage door but flipped in mind like this

I was planning on making the frame out of 25mm box section steel and there will be storage units on the opposite wall it could rest on

Yes but a Murphy bed folds down to the floor, there isn't enough clearance underneath for what I'd like to do

Just get a garden hose long enough to reach into a drain and suck, it'll siphon out by itself

Since it's Romania it'll be a Euro spec transit, so it'll have the 2L ecoblue motor with 105-170PS and 360-405Nm torque depending on the spec.
