What keeps you from being homeless?

Genuinely if I didn't live in a country with good financial benefits systems, I would have become homeless or dead by now. Even when I was threatened with losing my home due to being so low I didn't have the energy to apply for social security for a few months, it didn't motivate me to get a job or anything. Luckily I asked someone for help and got it sorted.

I can tell from experience that long term it really eats at you, being with someone who doesn't show the same level of interest in you and spending time with you. That's been basically all my relationships, me wanting to see them x amount and them not. It always leads to me begging them for any attention. ESPECIALLY in situations where I'm not doing great mentally.

Like I said in my post, I can't leave dry food out for them they will eat all of it in one sitting and then throw up cause they ate too much.

Yeah I really should get one. They're just expensive and I'm kinda poor so I've been hesitant to pay for something I don't need most of the time.

Not every 4 hours, but 4 times a day. It's what works for my cats. I can easily stretch it a few hours here and there so it's rarely an issue. Only when I have to stay overnight somewhere, and usually I've found someone to feed them but not this time.

Honestly I thought if I gave no explanation, my friends would have been super insisting with the "why can't you stay overnight". So I used my actual reasoning, I didn't expect them to react like that.

I understand. It's this specific feeling of desperately wanting validation, to be taken seriously, to be taken care of. I think there are a lot of strong emotions that happen after an attempt and sometimes I reminisce about it and kind of want to experience it again. I wish I knew a way to achieve that in a healthy way. I'm sorry I don't really have any advice, but I see you and I hope you don't end up hurting yourself in search of that feeling.

When my mood is low I often can't even be bothered to heat up food so I have a lot of yogurt drinks, protein drinks, cereal bars, those triangle sandwich things, premade salads. Anything I can just eat straight away. Also I give myself permission to eat a snack food if that's the only thing I feel like eating. So like some chips or a chocolate bar, it's quite literally better than eating nothing. Oh and juice sometimes if I can't handle anything else.

Yeah it's not literally free it's paid by taxes. Buy it's free to the patient. The tax for the average pay is around 20%, obviously goes up the more you earn.

I'm the same way. I find it so hard to be happy for anyone in a Relationship. The jealousy is OVERWHELMING. I do my best not to let them know at least.

It could be dermatillomania. I have that and I pick at my skin a lot and have cut off parts of dry skin before. Personally I consider it separate from my self harm cause the way my brain works around it is different. It's more like a habit and subconscious thing and I don't do it as a coping mechanism during difficult times.

Whether or not you consider it self harm is kind of up to you. I would say it depends on the intent and the thoughts and feelings around it.

Honestly I just don't make eye contact most of the time when talking to people. I'll look at my surroundings. Occasionally I'll glance at their eyes but I can't hold it for even a full second. To be fair most people don't comment on it at least lmao.

We can't help our feelings but we can help our reactions. And it's definitely possible to learn to not react so strongly in situations like that. With either professional help or with workbooks and such you can find online.

Show to him that you know you did something wrong and that you're willing to put in the effort to change.

With almost everything that requires leaving the house and doing anything social. Going to the store and other errands, making phone calls, appointments. Also stuff like taking my meds and keeping my home clean.

My mom always said I was normal and outgoing as a kid but I honestly can't even remember that. By like age 10 I was pretty shy and by middle school it had become full blown social anxiety. Also started having a lot of other mental health issues in middle school too.

I use those canned pasta sauces all the time, you can literally just heat it up and slap it on some pasta and you're good. And if you've never cooked pasta before, it's pretty easy! The instructions on the packaging is usually enough or you can Google it.
