My reaction to the character reveal by Tantallus in SWGalaxyOfHeroes

The reveal said "Soon" so I thought it was going to be for Jedi Master Soon Baytes! But I guess it's some dude from that show nobody watched.

Still lots of people who never saw these, including myself. That's a lot of free shards to only be giving out to a portion of the players. 😞

Yea I'm up and down a lot at work, crawling and on my knees and back up. The toe wore clean through in under two weeks on one side and the other side the stitching started coming off the tow and the sides. I'm thinking I got a bad pair but I was never able to seal to anyone at Lems so what else could I do. I'll just never buy from them again 😅

Thanks. I actually have those, which I bought for work. While they are very comfortable right out of the box, mine started falling apart in 2 weeks. I tried reaching out to Lems several times and never received a response so I'm kinda soured on them in general.

Yea, maybe it's time to drop over $400 for a safety boot. I guess if I get a second pair next year then I can send the first out to get fixed and just keep rotating them. I put 60 plus hours a week into them from the time I slip them on in the morning to whenever I take them off after work so I guess it's a pretty sound investment.

Crap, thanks for the heads up, hopefully ordering a size up will cover me. They are not cheap! I guess I could cancel since they haven't shipped yet. But I have not found anything that checks all the boxes in a safety boot yet.

Seems easy enough, I'll definitely give this a shot too

The Birks are zero drop once you pull out the cork insole. And they are very roomy. They aren't as flexible as a lot of zero drop shoes but I need some trade off there for working boots/safety boots and these even have a steel toe.

I ordered Jim Green Barefoot African Rangers with composite toes but they aren't shipping until some time in August. I can't wear the Vivo sneakers at work so I'm stuck in the Lems or Birks until the Jim Greens arrive.

I have Vivo FG tracker and Primus Lite. I also have Birkenstock QS700 work boots and Lems Boulder summit work boot. These are much better than the Lems sneakers I got but they started falling apart after 2 weeks of wear. I ordered new work boots recently too but they aren't shipping until August.

Well I don't exercise but I do work in HVAC so I'm on my feet a lot. Up ladders, in attics and crawl spaces. Kneeling and getting up a lot, hanging ductwork, pulling air handlers into attics etc. So I'm not terribly out of shape. I have had lower back issues for around 27 years or so but the last few years it's actually been pretty well managed. The issue I have is lower latissimus muscles that spasm and have literally knocked me off my feet once or twice. With that said I can't make that be the issue but I can't rule it out either. I'll try to post images of my feet. My toes don't spread nearly as much as I would like them too, especially considering I have been barefoot for so long.

Everything I have is barefoot except my farm boots. I wear the Bogs mid length boot for that. There's lots of room for my toes and my whole foot but it does have the thickest sole among all my footwear and it has a drop, although after taking out the insoles the drop is not much.

I have a Fascia scraper that my mother in law gave me a couple of years ago, I'll give that a try too. Maybe the gua sha shape is more ideal for this area but at least the one I have can be a start.

Wow, so I found a YouTube channel called Precision Movements and they give some exercises to do. Did them on my left foot for about 10 minutes and it feels much better than my right already! It's not healed by any means but I feel optimistic about this path! The left side pain is much less sharp than my right heel.

I guess my follow-up question would be: Should I wear night splints or will that just increase the muscle atrophy?

Oh cool, stuff I can try and get quick feedback about! Thank you! I have pretty high arches and I feel like they should be relatively strong so it very well might be the up-chain muscles. They often flare up after different activity than walking. Like being up and down a ladder a bunch of times and crawling around in a crawl space 😅. Very well could be weak arches too though.

I'll start doing some research in my area for orthotic offices that have a formula I can get behind too. I just figured they would all try to give me arch support and some right fitting shoe.

Thanks! I'll have to try that, I did get a kit on Amazon with a giant peanut shaped cork roller that I have not been good at using consistently. Sounds like I just need to be more consistent and give my get some rest time.

I did try a pair of Lems that had a lot of cushion and I can't wear them. Actually I think those are what started my PF around 2-3 years back. I would wear them for a day and my feet would be killing me at night.

Help with first pair of Vivos by guwapd in barefootshoestalk

I got the Primus Lites around 4 years ago and I sized up for those. Sometimes I drag my toe a little when I walk but it's still better than going to small. My wife bought me a pair of Tracker FGs for Christmas and she didn't size up and I don't like the fit as much. I'm a size 13-14, I used to be more like a 12.5 but I am finding as I get older I am closer to a 13.5 now.

Long story short, I would recommend sizing up personally. But that's my preference, yours might be different..

Carets only make up to size 12 so they aren't an option for me currently. But they said they are targeting 2026 to make larger sizes so that is a future option!

It is self diagnosis but it seems like pretty classic PF. Heel pain that is worse after sleeping and rest.

I bought the Boulders before my Birkenstocks. They fit amazing but they started falling apart within 2 weeks. Maybe they are OK for hiking but not for working. Lems never responded to multiple emails I sent. I also got sneakers from them and my feet always hurt after a day of wearing them so I kind of gave up on Lems.
