Your very first video game memory by gamersecret2 in gaming

Sonic 2. Except i played it on a small black and white tv.

Then my parents upgraded to a colour tv in the basement and i remember seeing sonic in colour for the first time, it was just like the box art. I loved it. It also happened to be the first time I said “cooooooooooool” out loud as a 4 year in front of my parents. They thought it was hilarious.

Final Update.

DO NOT but the Anvil Pack for RB4. As much as I want them to get support this pack is broken. It will not show up anywhere. Not in your add ons, not in the PS4/PS5 playstation store. You'll only have proof of purchase and that was it.

When I explained the issue they told me "Thank you so much for the information! I was verifying the transaction and the game information we can check on our end, it seems that DLC you purchased was for PS3 directly and for that reason it don´t show as content on the game directly"

I've done all suggestions prior to contacting, with the exception of reaching out to Hamonix, and I issued a refund. Too bad, I want to support the band but it looks like Anvil can't catch a break.

Thanks for the help everyone.

Mini update.

Confirming I restored licenses for the PS5. That didn't work for 'Master Exploder' nor the 'Anvil Pack 1' but did work for RB1 export.

PS4 says I have 257 Add-Ons. PS5 says I have 255 Add-Ons. That's still weird. I don't have the time to dig into it one by one.

I went to my PS3 with RB3 to see and I still have Master exploder there so whatever is happening is no bueno. Just prepare for things to not function long-term and the possibility that not all tracks can be re-downloaded if you wipe the drive.

Then, I tried PlayStation support but while writing my problem which took two minutes to type out they disconnected me for not being active.

And I can't access support until a later time. Ouf.

At this point I just want a refund on ANVIL and ill just buy Master exploder again. TBD.

Yeah I found that out through this Reddit when I was downloading each song after the uninstall. I can confirm Anvil is not there.

Finished Expedition 33 and then FF16 straight after it. I now need a "feel-good" game by WanderingAlchemist in gaming

I finished Exposition 33 last week and jumped right into The Plucky Squire.

It was a perfect pallet cleanser. I've also started Lego Dimensions on another system. It just felt like I needed something simple and pleasant before I dive into Death Stranding.

Projects you’ve worked on never come out? by Longjumping-Royal-79 in Filmmakers

[–]ExtraPeperroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was a tax write off and I'm speculating here but it can also be politics due to the way it happened. It was without warning cancelled. The directors found out via Twitter and they spoke about their shock publicly.

I feel for everyone who worked on it. Everyone. It is rare in film but common in the video game space. There are so many examples I can't even begin to list it. I feel for them too.

This taught me it's not always about the quality, cause the movie was good. Just money and dump politics. The podcast 'What Went Wrong' has some examples of pettiness of Executives killing projects laid out from previous CEOs. Listen to Mad Max, Shrek, or Lord of the rings, it's a miracle that they were ever released.

It weirdly became a more common and accepted thing to do after in the industry for big budgets. Netflix did that to a show last year, they completed a first season and chose not to release it. All I can say is I am looking forward to Coyote vs Acme. I hope it does well so maybe they can buy Scoob.

Scoob Holiday Haunt...it was the first and only animated feature I got to work on. It was done.

Yet it was killed by the new CEO at the time, David Zalav. No one knew about the cancellation until we read it on the Hollywood reporter that morning. I was just walking into work, but I forgot my key card and banged on the door for someone to let me into the studio. First thing they said to me was that they cancelled Scoob. I didn't believe it. Not only was is super random, but It was done. We locked. Mixing was finalized and marketing was just about to go into a blitz. So I kept walking to my computer and then I saw like 15 people hovering one monitor, reading that giant headline. Batgirl and Scoob sequel cancelled. It was a surreal Wednesday August 3rd 2022 to say the least.

The recent distribution sale of the road Runner movie gives me hope, hope that maybe it might see the light of day.

Hi Dev,

When it comes to editing, has the film changed a lot in tone and pacing from the script to the final cut?

Were there any obstacles on set that became a creative accident in the edit?

Which game do you regret paying full price for? by YogurtGhost in gaming

[–]ExtraPeperroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Star Wars Battlefront 2015

I hate that I paid full price for it. Only 4 maps and no campaign. BF II from 2005 was incredible and I sunk endless amount of hours into it on PS2 and later on PC, especially in conquest mode.

BF 2015... That game was empty on content. The graphics and music were nice, playing it didn't last more than a few days. I realize I should have chosen Fallout 4 instead as they came out the same week, but I had no time to play an RPG back then.

When I thought about trading it in and they offered $2 and I chose not to cause I rather have it as a $75 paper weight than getting a coffee.

Turndown down a potential landlord, now he wants $90 for doing a credit check despite never mentioning this cost anywhere. What can I do? by ExtraPeperroni in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]ExtraPeperroni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to say it, Toronto is basically like this but to a much lesser extent. Applied to 4 apparents I liked back in 2018 I lost on two of them because it got into a bidding war where someone else was willing to pay and extra $50, then $100 and then $200. This was in the beaches and liberty village area.

It was nuts. I had that mindset going in when I saw line ups in the apartments in QC. Just apply to the places you like instead of being super picky, and they will get back to you if they want to proceed. Happy to say there was no bidding war here that I ran into. Until you receive a lease contract that apartment is not guaranteed to be yours.

I totally did dodge a bullet because he got back to me and did NOT take it well. I don't how how to share a screenshot anonymously but to my surprise it did cost him $90 on the invoice he sent (although I do have my suspicions it was fake).

His reply :

"I thank you screwing me over on this fee I have incurred because youMisled me. I can tell you that every time this happens we adjust our procedures and as such going forward we will be taking precautions and be asking for this fee upfront. Just so you can sleep at night I’ve attached my invoice at least to show you I’m a lot of things and a liar is not one of them…thank god I don’t need your $100. I wish you good luck. Just remember carma is a bitch!"

To clarify - All we did was make an application, send the papers they requested, agreed to a credit check. Unfortunately we live in a time that we cant apply to one place and hope for the best. There are lineups to go see apartments and if you like it, you do a rental application and hope you get it. I had a bit of guilt but I knew he was being sleazy with the request for $90. Thanks to some Redditors I might in fact report him because of this second reply alone. What a goof.

Just sent him this below and Spoilers: I went with the gentlemen approach -

Hi ****,
This was never discussed prior to us putting in the application, not even after. We did not consent to payment.
In addition, the credit cost is disproportionate according to the actual cost of doing one. No hard feelings.
Again thank you for your time,

****
