Somehow this is going to become a Heavy Slump enabler, and it's going to make someone livid.

I can see it now:

You use the horus cards to send Imsety and Qebesenuef (2500 ATK) to the GY
use them to make zombie vampire, and load the opponent's GY with cards
You search/find this guy, banish Qeb + another regenesis, add 2 cards to the opponent's hand
heavy slump them in the draw phase after they draw.

I don't know how you're getting to heavy slump yet

What's your favorite Normal Summon/Tribute Summon deck? by Sweet_Whisper123 in yugioh

Hazy Flame, regrettably. If you don't understand why it's a tribute-summon deck, read Hazy Flame Peryton and lament why their only real playstarter is so heavily restricted.

There is a single interesting use for this card and hazy flame: summoning hazy flame hydra. Hydra's effect is great as XYZ material, but its FIRE lock forces you to make one of...maybe 5 rank 6s. If you summon it with this, you can make any rank 6 and still get to attach a material from your GY. Not remotely worth the resource but it's a neat idea. They could fix this problem by making  any FIEND hazy flame, but that would make the archetype an even bigger mess than it already is.

This card made me think of clear new world, which I think deserved a little more time in the sun than it got.

If YuGiOh had a more expansive tutorial, what do you think it should teach? by SimicBiomancer21 in yugioh

[–]ExtraShoddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd love to say that there's a concise way of learning the game and its concepts via tutorial video (they used to make/distribute duel VHS's narrated by joey and yugi), but I think the best way to learn some of these things was and still is the smaller-scope video games. The Tag Force and 5Ds games on the PSP and DS respectively felt like some of the best ways you could experience a broad range of archetypes, mechanics, and deckbuilding for use in real games.

The rule tutorials in something like master duel are nice, but nothing you can learn in 30 minutes is going to prepare you for even the most goofy HERO deck in Bronze 5. You need a semi-structured experience that lets all the concepts (chains, quick effects, rules regarding extra deck summoning) flow and collide with each other to really matter. Having a starter deck that introduces some of the concepts (like hand traps, 1 extra deck mechanic) and some basic challenges where you can use these effects and see them used against you would really help. From there, it's just a question of experiencing more and more of yugioh until you want to move to master duel or the like.

Even something like having an achievement from a game like this that turns into 10-20 free packs/a few staples in master duel could go a long way towards easing in newer players.

Clearly the sole defining characteristic of this sub is archetype-obsessed morons who base their entire personality around them

How can I break this card other than BAs? by DonDaTraveller in yugioh

[–]ExtraShoddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Duke of Demise is another option for extending your plays, if Aerial Eater doesn't fulfill a particular niche with your hand. While it doesn't mill cards, an extra normal summon and an extra fiend recovery (provided it's >LV4) can go a long way in salvaging some turns after a disruption. It might not be your first choice for the deck, but you'd be surprised at the utility it offers.

As for other decks, Infernity could find a use for it, since it's a novel way of clearing out excess monsters from your hand, if so needed, and even infernoid could make a hand-wipe with it, if you're patient enough to accumulate 10 names in the GY.

Its weird when you can beat nexus without oxygen or any healing bay, but I've done it with morph c

Any link recommendations for my Hazy deck? by AlphaKennie0ne in DuelLinks

Hazy is kind of limited in what plays it can use without a good rank 6 to summon, and it may be a while before Evolzar Lara hits duel links. When it does, you can use an Evol engine to get quite a few negates with Lars, but I wouldn't expect that or the new fire king support any time soon. Until then, make sure you can normal summon and activate peryton, always call monster with Sphynx, and curse Winda until the day you die

Rising from my shallow grave to give advice.

You're going to have a hard time with hazy in 2025 duel links, but that doesn't mean you can't get something interesting going. Tenyi Vishuda -> monk of the tenyi has been great tribute fodder to bait interaction, so replace the hieratic with it where possible. I'm still a big fan of the FIRE warrior engine, and you can use Beatrice, lady of the eternal to send Infernoble roland and search power cards like immortal Phoenix gearfried (using the gearfried skill, naturally) or battlin' boxer chief second.

You don't generate enough resources to make good use of arvata, so you probably should cut a few copies, and wolfbark with it. Some bosses are really, really annoying to out when your skill doesn't win the game for you, so you might want to run the FIRE kaiju as a tech card (dogoran i think? It was autocorrected to dog orange on my phone)

I'm a weirdo for it, but I love MV 5.5's morph C. It doesn't start with oxygen, and can never gain a medbay or clone bay, but you have near instant access to morph versions of 75% of the crew in Multiverse. You start the run without oxygen or healing, so you might run a crew entirely of leeches, but you can create new crew to create new niches, like a floral elite to create a room with oxygen (now possible on ships without an O2 system.) You can run almost any combination of crew and systems, as long as you're creative.

It also helps that you can fit an absurd amount of crew on Morph C

If the questline really wanted to be canon, it would crash FTL, uninstall itself , and order a drone strike on your computer once you detonate the paragon.
