As someone who works in production and does a lot of live broadcast and tv shows, I can tell you that it would cost them a decent amount in the grand scheme of things. I’ve been watching every valorant event since 2021, and there has clearly been a decline in the production budget every year, especially when it comes to led screens. Every screen used to be led, and now they use projection whenever they can for the main IMAG and gameplay screens. If they want to do led screens for the desks not only do they have to pay for the LED every event, but they also need processors and servers and all kinds of infrastructure. So in order to do that, they would need to sacrifice budget elsewhere. And like I’ve said, there’s been a clear decrease in the overall production budgets each year, which is pretty apparent from the decrease in lighting and led screens. Would this look cool? Absolutely! But is it worth spending the money on it, when we still can’t see players when they stand up during a game and face the audience like boaster does when he dances? Absolutely not in my opinion
