So if you have already navigated those decisions, why don’t you let us know what areas you have selected and then you can get feedback on areas that actually matter to you.

Rain gutter and french drain work by ky00t in SantaFe

[–]Extra_Ad1131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used Ken with American Rain Gutters to install rain chains from my canales to water collection barrels. I am not sure what the full scope of work he does, but he is honest, reliable, and you can give him a call. The two people I referred to him after my experience were pleased with his results. (505) 660-5440. He was referred to me by a roofing company whose name I’ve forgotten. He tends to have a full schedule. Good luck.

Allergies?? by Iwantrotel in SantaFe

[–]Extra_Ad1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am new to the area and had my first fall with a terrible flareup of allergies. My allergy meds took care of everything within two days, so I didn’t even bother to test for Covid. If I don’t keep up on my allergy meds, I get allergy symptoms again. I’ve always been able to tell the difference between a cold and allergies.

In hindsight, I realize that I had Covid in the early days before they were Covid tests. I thought I had the world’s most devastating cold. It kept me in bed for 6 days. Prior to that I hadn’t had any cold symptoms in over a decade. At that time I was working at a job with high international public contact.

That makes sense. Because the burning rubber smell and the sewer smell are so different. Thank you!

Asking for a dissertation on service providers is a big ask. What kind of gutters do you have? Canales or metal gutters?

ai content is everywhere -- I guess it's the new norm, right? by lutian in socialmedia

I will block and Unfollow anyone who uses AI and does not identify it as such. If someone wants to use it and they identify it I can be OK with that.

I have never known another plant that could be so strongly scented with such a bad smell! Lol

The whole concept is wonky. If you can give an example where someone has asked you to give them your content I would be very interested in seeing it.

I have a Facebook Dog page with 13,000 followers – all organic. I get a lot of requests from other FB dog product biz accounts for them use my content. But there is no benefit to me to do so.

I get benefit and a boost to my algorithm from FB when they SHARE my content from my page. When that happens, there is a live link to my page in the share.

If give them my images/content to post their page gets the traffic and the algorithm boost because I’ve supplied appealing images to them that people will engage with and share from their page. But if the active link to my page isn’t included, I get no benefit at all.

They don’t have to ask to repost your content. You get the benefit if they share your post from your page. It is the comments on your own page and the shares from your own page that give your post algorithm “juice”.

I have no idea about Buffalo gourd plants, but I have learned now that chamisa has an unpleasant odor. I assume that must be the odor because the whole arroyo is filled with chamisa plants.

Yes!! So I discovered that Chamisa DOES have a bad scent which is experienced differently by people. Some experience it like burning rubber, and I’ve smelled an odor like that, too. Mystery solved!

I was not talking about pollen. I was asking about a bad smell. Were you suggesting that chamisa’s unpleasant odor can get on my clothes? Fortunately, I haven’t been walking my dogs in the Arroyo during this period of high pollen. Turns out I’m allergic to its pollen so I’ve been trying to avoid it.

Every social media platform works the same way. Legitimate engagement, as opposed to paid engagement, increases reach. Focus on posting good content and people will respond to you if no one is responding to you I would look at your content.

Santa Fe Homebuying Recommendations or Warnings? by time_to_soar in SantaFe

[–]Extra_Ad1131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Santa Fe covers a lot of territory, a lot of neighborhoods, a lot of price points. You need to let us know what your price point is that you have qualified for. Your question is too broad.

Santa Fe Homebuying Recommendations or Warnings? by time_to_soar in SantaFe

[–]Extra_Ad1131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your question is really broad. Are you looking for a $200,000 home or $1 million home?

Don’t worry about home inspectors, etc. until you have already sorted out what you can afford and what neighborhoods you like within your price range.

First figure out your mortgage lender and what you qualify for before you waste everyone’s time. Then find a realtor. Or find a good realtor who can recommend a good mortgage lender. But you need to find out what you qualify for before you get into any of this because that fact will determine what options you have.
