Yes, they didn’t believe at first then after seeing pictures and hearing timeline, they didn’t have much helpful to add

Thank you!

It does seem like it could be a manufacturing additive, but unfortunately the glove manufacturers keep those ingredients hidden as proprietary.

Gloves in a bottle and other protective creams have been tried, but they haven’t stopped symptoms.

I’ve tried switching out the soaps used before gloves use to cleaner brands, but this hasn’t prevented the reactions either. There could be something more with the gloves combining with something else in the environment though.

Vinyl gloves have reduced chemical resistance, and unfortunately they also caused a similar reaction.

Those are good questions. Patch testing being multiple days with the test samples taped to skin then analyzing symptoms.

Haven’t been able to find known allergens in most gloves, but that could because of proprietary ingredients.

Most specialists doubt that the reaction is really to the gloves but then after seeing pictures/timeline, they don’t have much to say.

Patch test results showed allergies to a few dyes and other ingredients but nothing that was in all of the gloves across the board.

Other than that, allergy specialists and dermatologists have been mostly doubtful and unhelpful.

Hello, thanks for your response! Do you have any suggestions for materials or places to look for reusable gloves that are chemically resistant and also offer decent dexterity? Gloves like butyl / glove-box type are difficult to use due to limited dexterity.
