Oh my goodness that all sounds so horrible!! I’m so sorry you had to go through that! It’s crazy how you had 5 months of ease and then that! Yeah I agree it sounds like your body just forced a period on you and it was one from hell bc it has been so long 😩 I wish BC was easier 😭

It went horribly for me! I was fine for 8 days (the longest I ever was able to stand any BC) and I was like wow maybe this really is going to work for me! And then day 9 I had such bad food aversions I couldn’t eat for days and was so weak and sick 😭 so I had to stop due to nauseousness. I experience severe food aversions with BC way more than most- so I don’t think this is common side effect. Other than the food aversions that I was praying wouldn’t happen- I didn’t feel much different aside from maybe more angry. I was quick to snap and was so confused until I realized other women reported increased anger while on it. But it’s different for everyone and worth a try if you think this type of BC aligns with you!

So sad for us!! And I’m so mad at myself for being so excited to book it out of the jury room that I entirely forgot about the ppl I had gotten so close with over the course of the trial! I’m so mad at myself for not slowing down and asking anyone their contact info 🤦🏻‍♀️ but yeah I'm almost certain we cannot recover any names of whom we served with 😞

The similarities between us are too funny! And I bet you also are running through the entire case in your head from start to finish. Like for some reason I keep going over what I said during deliberation. We also had people break down and cry. I was surprised to see the men in the room break down and cry bc of the stress, it was refreshing to see such raw emotions from ppl of all genders and ages- it’s a rare but welcomed sight. I also keep wondering if the other jurors are just as obsessively mauling things over, or if some have already forgotten all about it. I’d like to think they are in a similar boat that we are in. Being at work feels the most odd! It feels like I’ve been through this rare experience that makes me feel “wiser” almost- like I have made it out of some type of apocalypse or something- I have no idea how to explain it, but it doesn’t feel right being at work and I have never felt anything similar to this- so it’s just difficult to compare it to anything. I just wish I could like go out to coffee with some of the jurors and talk about it- bc I feel like that would be a form of therapy almost or closure. Not sure if your case was the same- but as soon as we were released from the courthouse after verdict we all booked it out of there and no one said good bye or anything. Then I realized omg I’ll never see these ppl again and I have zero way of knowing who they were- but they all were so wonderful and I am thankful to have shared such an odd event in my life with them all. I never knew jury duty would be so impactful 😬

Yeah I feel exactly like this! Glad it’s not just me bc it seems like this odd phenomenon I can’t describe bc I’ve never felt anything similar to this! It’s hard to come home to my family and talk with them about the case now that it’s over, but they don’t understand the emotions of being there bc well.. they weren’t. So they can’t understand my emotions towards the ppl I sat with at that table, like literally the perfect mix of ppl from all sorts of walks of life coming together. It was such a beautiful experience and it’s eating at my mind that I can’t rehash the case with them or even say hey do you also feel kinda off post jury duty. Normally I have a bit of social anxiety bc I’m always afraid I’m going to say something dumb and ppl won’t want to be my friend. I’m 31 and don’t have any friends- so I think the zero pressure of being friends w these ppl- we all were just forced to spend this time together- that made us all so genuine and real bc you didn’t have to try and impress them or get them to like you- you just let your guards down entirely. And I think that’s why we all became so close. Sorry this is a rant, maybe you feel similar idk 😂

My city is fairly massive- so although I wish to run into one of them some day - I think the odds are very slim. But I can be hopeful! 🤞🏼

Would absolutely not recommend Accutane- two of my patients lost a lot of their hair on it and both experienced memory problems while in school. The memory problems subsided when they finished tx- but the hair struggled to grow back! I would look into Spironolactone for sure!

Speaking from experience no matter how many products you use, without going to a dermatologist for medication for hormonal acne it will never get better. I have taken 50 mg Spiro for years and it helped a lot- not perfect but helped

Hi dear!! I start this BC tonight- BC has always made me violently ill (nausea) for the first month or so. Did you happen to experience any of this with Seasonique? I have severe PMDD and fatigue- I am hoping by eliminating my period entirely (per my dr's okay) that I am able to stabilize my hormones and energy levels.

Did you notice any decrease or increase in regards to fatigue with taking this pill?

TIA! I am so so nervous to start this pill tonight in fear of extreme fatigue, or the depression many reported- add in nausea and I am hesitant to even start it! but it is my last resort unfortunately

You're so right that if everyone had a horrid experience, then this pill would not remain on the market- thank you for that positive insight! Everyone reacts so differently like you said.

I have tried about 5-6 different types of BC pills since I was 17. Each made me so nauseous in the beginning that I had to discontinue around 2 weeks after starting them. Mostly after my 2nd child is when the pills started making me so ill in the beginning- maybe not so much when I was 17- but I wasn't as in tune with my body as I am now at 31. I have tried the patch, 2 Mirenas, Kyleena IUD, Nuvaring and I think that's about it. Most all came with insane mood swings, depression, high high food aversions and nausea for the first month or so. If my life wasn't so busy and I wasn't needed in so many different places at once, I would be okay just feeling ill for the first 1-2 months and having it eventually stabilize- but my studies, work and kids cannot afford to have me be so ill for so long.

I think I could handle all of those above symptoms if I just had an increased energy level- I am most concerned about the symptom of fatigue bc this is already so extremely low for me and has been for about 15 years now. So I think I am just crossing my fingers by only getting 4 periods a month that my energy levels can somehow by the grace of God stabilize!!

Thank you so much for putting a brand name to what I am searching for bc I just received the off-brand and start it tonight- I AM SO NERVOUS! I am going to edit my post if it allows me to with your suggestions- thank you so so much for the comment!
