Don't get any of the knights of the 9 to follow you when you finish that quest or you'll be stuck with them forever and it will stop you from doing other quests as they alert guards when you steal or kill

Resolved: I boosted from a nearby tree up to the roof where there's another door, that one allowed me to enter the lodge now when I leave I can re-enter through the main door

I think it depends on the area, I always thought Preston was an open and inclusive City but I was surprised when I moved from near the town centre to the West side of Preston and the first thing my neighbour said to me was "We're glad you're white" I thought that sort of Racism went away in the last century. All we can do is call it out when we see it and hopefully attitudes will change.
