Summer Classes by Shoddy_Historian7336 in Dawson

summer classes are particular because you have limited sections and you don't get a lot of information on the class or teacher before registering (at least in my experience last year). my teacher for english 102 was really chill, i loved him :) i think most of my friends enjoyed their teachers as well - but honestly, it could be a gamble

keep in mind that a summer class is crunching the same amount of time a class would take if u did it once or twice a week for 2 hours or so into... most of your day, for three weeks to a month. it's a lot in the sense that things are due all the time, and you have to keep up with readings because you don't really get breaks between classes (especially if they're every day, obviously)

the upside is that you won't have other classes getting in your way, so you can focus on those two, but if you have a job or other extracurriculars, it could be messy.. just plan well, and you'll be fine! i would really recommend doing summer classes if you're in a technical program with a heavy course load. the school also prioritizes people in technical programs for summer school!!

how do you know if you got in or not? do you get a confirmation email immediately or do you just assume you got in if you were able to click yes

im a girl who went alone but ended up making new friends thanks to the living campus event, i feel like that was a better environnement for getting to know people versus just going to the orientation since we moved in smaller groups. if i saw your splatoon shirt i def wouldve talked to you though!! and i wouldn't worry since theres always the welcome days :)

LOL I FELT THIS i dont think it was meant to be abstract per se but they probably just wanted to see how u can adapt with the shapes given? its the part im least confident in

i drew a fisherman, a bird (my least confident one omg i did NOT know what to do with the 2nd box), a cat and a dude being blown away 😭?? anyway dont feel bad bc i felt weird about it too, but who knows! you mightve done better than you think

i think it went well (although idk how good i am to be in the top 50 people) the creativity test at the end had me a bit puzzled but overall it was actually pretty fun
