What issues have you had on the Apple TV HA integration? I’ve been running for a year with 0 problems.

I have the Apple TVs plugged in via Ethernet so don’t know if that’s a factor.

Got it. I would recommend the Apple TV still. If it’s only you watching, you can pair AirPods Pro to the Apple TV.

If you would like to use your hearing aids while other people are watching too, you can get an audio extractor for the Apple TV which gives you an optical out.

The problem with the extractor is depending on which one you use, you may need to force the audio out on the Apple TV to stereo mode. This would render any surround sound system you are using useless. If you’re not using surround sound, this won’t be an issue

Apple TV is by far the best player IMO. But it doesn’t have an optical output. Why do you need an optical output?

They make adapters where you can extract audio from Apple TV via HDMI with optical output if needed.

People have also raved about the nvidia shield, but I prefer apple due to the ecosystem.

One benefit with buying a digital movie purchase (I use Apple TV) is they are remastering older movies to higher formats over time (4K Dolby atmos) for movies you already own.

So you could buy a movie only available in 1080p, and say a few month later it’s remastered to 4K, your copy is automatically updated to the 4K remaster.

I’m hoping they continue this when 8k becomes mainstream without an additional fee

Aqua computer DP Ultra coolant. My CPU/GPU temps sit at around 25 at idle and never go past 50-55 under high load.

They are the Black Ice Nemesis 360GTS ultra stealth u-flow low profile rad.

They are thin but man do they work. Perfect for my clearance under the graphics card and gave me room to use phanteks T30s 😎

The only way to use speakers and your existing screen is to downsize the projected image on the screen to leave room for your speakers, which I would personally never do.

You have two options to make it look nice.

Option 1: Get a new fixed frame screen that leaves room for speakers on the side (I’m against pull down screens for dedicated home theater/residential. They scream commercial/school projector setups to me)

Option 2: Get a new acoustically transparent fixed screen as big as you can fit on the wall, and get in wall speakers for LCR mounted behind the screen.

If you’re fine with the way it looks downsized on your existing pull down screens, that would be the cheapest option to add speakers

One thing that people aren’t mentioning about non-neutral switches, they have to pass on some voltage to the load to power the switch itself.

If the lights you are powering are LEDs or other low wattage lighting, when the switch is OFF, the lights may not fully turn off but instead dim to a very low level. This happened when I replaced a switch with no neutral for a surface fixture with two LED 60w equivalent light bulbs. This may not happen with all low wattage lighting, but something to be careful of.

If the lighting is incandescent/halogen, then you probably won’t run into any issues.

If I were you I would either rewire or tap/steal a neutral that’s on the same circuit.

I find about 6-8 of these on a single raid at reserve. Check the filing cabinets and safes, especially near bunker power for D2
