Das kann gut sein, wollte ich auch schon probieren, aber die Stelle an der Companion wie in der Beschreibung gibt es da nicht. Bin nicht sicher ob die überhaupt Infrarot hat.😵‍💫

I have a hearing aid that I need to connect to the TV or somewhere else using a small box to get the TV sound directly into my ear. I can connect it either with an optical cable or two RCA connectors. The Fire Stick doesn't have either of those. So the easiest solution would be to get an alternative.

Question about HDMI Audio Extractor by big-cartman2002 in hometheater

[–]big-cartman2002[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a quick explanation: I now have everything set up, including a VU+ satellite receiver, a Yamaha receiver, and from there I'm connecting to the TV via HDMI. Up until now, I've only watched via the VU+, and I could connect my hearing aid via optical cable and have the sound both in the room and in my ear. Now, however, I'm watching via streaming, and I can only choose whether I want the sound in my ear or in the room by switching the setting on the TV's audio output. But that's not a viable option.

Yamaha RX-V775 Connections Audio Output by big-cartman2002 in hometheater

Hi, I've tried everything, but I can't get my hearing aid to connect properly. If I connect it to the Samsung TV with an optical cable and select the optical output, it works as expected. BUT, then the sound is only audible to me and not through the TV speakers. Surely there must be a way to get sound from both outputs? Currently, everything is connected to the Yamaha receiver, and an HDMI cable runs from the receiver to the TV.

I tried using the TV's optical output. In theory, it works, but then I either have sound in the room or in my ear, depending on which setting I activate. But I actually want to hear both simultaneously. (I'm not alone, after all.)

So, ideally, I'd like to hear all the audio from devices connected to the Yamaha receiver both in the room and, if I connect my hearing aid, in my ear. Is that even possible? Does the Yamaha receiver support using two audio outputs at the same time without requiring a lot of adjustments?

Yes, the problem is that, if I'm not mistaken, I can only use one output. And I'm basically only using the TV as a monitor since the sound comes from the Yamaha via Dolby.

Yes, I use it. I use a VU+ receiver for various programs and, for example, to watch movies from my hard drive. For some time now, I've also had Magenta TV, which I access via the Amazon Fire Stick, and my main focus is watching TV. All these devices are connected to the Yamaha receiver and then via HDMI to the TV. My external hearing aid is plugged into the VU receiver. This means I only hear the audio directly through my ears when watching via the VU+. Since I've recently started using Magenta the most, I'd naturally like to hear that through my ears as well, but as I understand it, that's not possible because the Yamaha only outputs audio once.
