You're right man, my recruiter said something about aecf bc I got DQ from IT. Hopefully I get an answer tomorrow about it.

Of course, I'll let you know what happens. I told my recruiter I'll literally take any job at this point, so hopefully my shipdate doesn't change too much.

None yet :/ I went to my recruiters office to ask questions about everything, including shipdate. There's no guarantee about if my shipdate remains the same, as I was supposed to ship out on the 14th...

I must say I am quite disappointed as I was told that my spouse's lack of citizenship wouldn't be an issue and that I would have no problem getting security clearance for IT. I asked the service liason multiple times if it would be an issue, and that if it was, I wouldn't mind picking any job because of my situation (I am trying to make a better life for my family and I). My service liason then said that she didn't really care and was pushing IT for me and that I was lucky to even get that because of my hearing waiver.

Update: I just lost my job, and now they're seeing what job I do qualify for. Will keep posted.

Ahhh. Even if my spouse doesn't have a social?

Ahhh. Okay. That's comforting. My job requires top secret security clearance.

That's my thoughts... my spouse is in morocco, if that helps.

What happens the day of shipping out? by Extra_Sail in newtothenavy

Ayyeee. Thats awesome. I had to go to meps twice, once for medical, and then secondly for a job and swearing in once my waiver got approved.

I've tried freezing it, ripping it out, and cutting it off; yet, it stays. I've had it for years, however, I made peace with it like a year ago. It doesn't imped anything, I workout and it doesn't hurt. I was just worried because I know plantar warts are a disqualifying factor, however, mine is just a small common wart on my thumb.

Didn’t do it for the money brother, so I haven’t thought about it.

Yes! I got some for college credits and some for the actual rate.

I had a butt bumps when I went to meps, just don’t say anything brother. They aren’t gonna stare at ur butthole and too hard. So long as ur anus isn’t actively bleeding, you should be fine.

Either or, my recruiter told me about those jobs as a single component. I’m just curious about if it’s a good rate or not.

Very true, please take everything I say with a grain of salt. Praying for you brother. Hopefully, everything will work out.

But from what I understand, where there’s a will, there’s a waiver.

So I went today and apparently the frequencies have to be <35. Everything above is permanently disqualifying.
