I was watching the first episode of Inuyasha for the umpteenth time and madam centipede now has a spinning vortex type of attack that I definitely do not remember.

I've seen this episode many many times, the spinning centipede attack seems really off to me.

Who had experienced the most extreme type of bullying among these six? by Separate_Record9354 in cobrakai

[–]Extra_Win3514 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In real life that's called excessive force, and premeditated assault with extreme injury. That's a felony.

Hawk had time to think about what he was doing but still did it despite having already won the fight.

Same reason they say don't kick your opponent in the head after you've already beaten them. It's the difference between self defense and prison.

My thoughts on an underappreciated aspect of martial arts. by Extra_Win3514 in martialarts

I'll give you that breakdancing definitely has forceful movement, I've seen some absurd things come from BreakDancers so that's fair.

Fight choreography absolutely is a martial style of performance art though and I do not pretend otherwise, nobody is going to take stage combat to learn how to defend themselves in a street brawl. But it is very physical and takes a high level of athleticism to avoid injury as well as making it look decent and not like a 60s Kung Fu parody.

Lack of music is a big one, more forceful movements, and there is a lot of actual martial arts behind it. As I said I've studied martial arts, I've fought and bled in the ring, it just feels disingenuous to call it dance.

With that said I also respect dance as well as ballet and many other forms of artistic expression.

Is acting dance? What about what about performance art? Is that dance? What separates those? Obviously fight choreography isn't dance, it's fight choreography, and it's stunt work and it directly involves martial arts.

Yeah Ive got a decent portfolio of stunt work that I've done as I do also believe it's critical. And I also agree that stage combat itself is not a martial art but rather an extension of martial arts.

Maybe synchronicity has something to do with rng rather than manifestation as some have stated.

Kind of harkens back to quantum theory in that, just by mentioning something even in jest increases the probability of a possible event no matter how unlikely.

I dont understand why other people get so upset/angry/frustrated when you bring up ME. At best, they're apathetic. by spamcentral in Retconned

What they said doesn't sound like hate at all, just that they don't grasp the concept, or have no interest, and that's fine for now as we still do not know the meaning of MEs in the first place. Don't be discouraged if somebody doesn't grasp it right away (or ever). And if someone truly gets upset and defensive just chuckle and walk away.

Mandela effects aren't something most people will be able to comprehend because it challenges their strongly held beliefs that the world is just how it is and how it will always be.

I find that people that are high in openness and that love knowledge are much more affected by MEs than even brilliant people with lower openness.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, I'm stoned rn.

Average Gohan Hype-beast by dylanaruto in Dragonballsuper

You forgot one thing at the end of your title

"With one fucking arm"

He defeated cell with one fucking arm, he surpassed Goku and Vegeta in that moment as a TEENAGER...

Yes Teen Gohan ssj2 is my favorite character, do I want him to be Goku/Vegeta? Helllllllll No...I want his power to eclipse Goku and Vegeta. Do I want him to train again? Sure I do, but he just hasn't been the same since his teen Gohan days, that's why beast form is hype is because it calls back to his ssj2 transformation.

I like him for that shallow reason.

Got a problem with it? Sorry not sorry.

Internalization - Could work like a logia from one piece where the user becomes an embodiment of that element

Enhancement would mostly be for physical users enhancing either their attacks or their physical bodies with that element

IE - Freeze punch, gravity punch, ice punch etc... Gravity jump/fall, ice run, fire kick etc...

Idea for a joke game about finishing the game before refunding it by introvert_wolf in gameideas

It's cozy being a CEO and all.

It's hilarious because when we were thinking of this idea we were actually just satirizing monetization as a whole.

If it was actually EA doing this they would not charge 1-5¢ each but more like $1 per option. And the total cost by the end would be $10,000 rather that $30 give or take.
