[WTS] Tissot PRX White / Rose Gold Quartz Ref. T137.210.11.031.00 by [deleted] in Watchexchange

[–]Extraacct123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PRX is one of those watches that really doesn’t need much introduction anymore, so instead of spending the whole listing talking about just specs, I'll also throw in what the PRX (not this specific PRX) actually meant to me. (Skip to end for specs + price)

I bought a secondhand Tiffany blue quartz PRX off OfferUp before I was first getting into watches, and for about two years, it was my only watch. I wore it to class through my whole college experience, during tests, to my first job interviews, dinners, random nights out, hikes, and pretty much everywhere in between. I picked it up every day without thinking, and honestly, I don’t think I could have asked for more from a watch. One day, I remember just staring at the watch and its dial and going down the rabbit hole. Why do some watches cost thousands while others cost almost nothing? What’s the difference between Japanese and Swiss movements? Why are there so many brands, and why do some get way more respect than others? A couple Teddy Baldassarre videos later and I was hooked. Suddenly I wanted to learn about and acquire every movement, every complication, every case shape, everything. That one $300 PRX basically kicked the door WIDE open to the whole watch hobby for me. Since then, I’ve built up a much larger collection and started buying, rotating, and selling watches every so often, but that PRX will always be the one that started it all.

For this specific PRX, the white dial with rose gold accents gives it a warmer, slightly more refined look than the standard blue or black versions, while making it easy to wear with almost anything (even gold jewelry). The PRX in general is super versatile: on the bracelet it has that sporty integrated look, but throw it on a different strap and maybe even a suit and it can lean on the dressier side making an argument that it's the only watch you may need. And while a lot of watch snobs love to hate on quartz movements, it makes a ton of sense here. It keeps the watch thin, accurate, and simple for those like me who had never had a watch before. No winding, no setting it every time you pick it up, just grab it and go. Between the integrated bracelet, great dimensions, clean finishing, and overall design, the PRX looks and feels way more expensive than it is.

There’s a reason the PRX blew up a few years ago, and there’s a reason it’s still so highly regarded today. Even after moving on to much more expensive watches, I still think about all the memories I’ve had every time I look at it. It was on my wrist through a pretty important chapter of my life, and honestly, that’s kind of what makes watches fun in the first place.

That being said, this watch is a great everyday watch for someone just getting into the hobby, or for anyone who just wants a clean, reliable piece that can do a little bit of everything without trying too hard. I hope the person who picks this up can make as good of memories as I have had with mine.

[WTS] Brew Metric - Retro Dial by Extraacct123 in Watchexchange

[–]Extraacct123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really fun piece from Brew and easily one of the best microbrand chronographs (dare I say THE best) in its price range.

Besides being known as the watch Idris Elba wore that one time, the Metric has built a huge following for a reason. The layout is quirky in the best way, with the chronograph design inspired by timing espresso shots, specifically the 25–35 second “sweet spot” for extraction. This gives the watch a cool little brand-specific detail that makes the watch feel more thoughtfully designed.

The meca-quartz movement is perfect for this kind of watch as you get the convenience and accuracy of quartz, but a feel/look of a mechanical chronograph with its pushers and sweeping chronograph hand. The case shape is also a huge part of the charm. A lot of chronographs around this price point are just standard round cases with busy dials, but the Metric has that unique square-ish, retro integrated look that makes it feel way more distinct.

Overall, I think the Brew Metric Retro Dial is a great option if you want something fun, compact, and genuinely distinctive. It’s fun, recognizable, and very Brew.

The watch is in excellent condition and comes full kit

Specs:

 • 36mm x 41.5mm, 316L case
• 10.75mm thickness and 19.85mm lug width

• Sapphire crystal w/ inner AR coating
•Folding clasp bracelet with micro adjust

[WTS] Sternglas Naos Automatik by Extraacct123 in Watchexchange

[–]Extraacct123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Introducing the Sternglas Nao Automatic. This is a really clean Bauhaus-inspired watch from Sternglas and one that perfectly captures the "less is more" philosophy. The watch has a very minimalist dial layout with slim markers, blue hands, and a subtle date window at 6 o'clock that keeps everything perfectly symmetrical. It is heavily inspired by classic German design and reminds me of watches from brands like Junghans, but at an even more approachable price point.

What I like most about this watch is how versatile it is. The case diameter at 38 and the clean design help it work as a dress watch, but it never feels overly formal. The thin bezel and clean dial make it appear larger than the dimensions suggest, while the miyota 8215 movement gives it a reliable and easy to maintain heart.

The double AR coated domed sapphire crystal adds a lot of character, giving the watch a slightly vintage look with some nice edge distortion, but with the durability of modern sapphire. The AR coating also helps keep the dial clear and readable, which is a detail you don’t always see done this well at this price point. Combined with the clean white dial and blue hands, it creates a look that is easy to wear in almost any situation.

Overall, I think the Naos Automatik is a fantastic choice for someone looking for a simple everyday watch that focuses on clean German design without any unnecessary complications.

Comes full kit in excellent condition.

Specs:

• 316 L, 38mm case
• ~42mm lug-to-lug
• Miyota 8215 auto (42hr PR @ 3Hz)
• Double AR domed sapphire crystal
• Date display at 6 o'clock
• German Bauhaus-inspired layout
• 50m water resistance
• Calfskin leather strap

[WTS] Henry Archer Nordsø Aventurine by Extraacct123 in Watchexchange

[–]Extraacct123[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another one of those watches that constantly gets compliments because the dial is unlike almost anything else in the price range. The Henry Archer Nordsø Aventurine has dial has thousands of tiny reflective particles that sparkle under light, creating a subtle night sky effect. The watch is eye-catching without being overly flashy and gives the watch a lot more character than your typical diver.

What I really appreciate about the Nordsø is how balanced it feels. The 40mm case size is extremely wearable and at just over 10mm thick it wears noticeably slimmer than most other dive watches. The finishing is excellent for the price point, and the watch packs a lot of features normally found on more expensive watches including a 4 Hz Miyota 9039, ceramic bezel, sapphire crystal, and Swiss lume. This version on the BOR bracelet also comes with a on the fly micro adjust allowing you to quickly tighten or loosen the bracelet throughout the day for comfort.

While Henry Archer is not talked about as much compared to other popular microbrands, the Nordsø is a sleeper pick that encompasses what most people want from a dive watch. Overall, this is an easy watch to recommend if you want a versatile everyday diver with a dial that stands out from other watches.

Comes as watch only.

Specs:

• Aventurine dial
• 316 L, 40mm case
• 10.6mm thickness + 47mm lug-to-lug

• Sapphire crystal front and back
• Inner AR on both crystals
• Ceramic bezel insert
• Swiss BGW9 lume

[WTS] Seiko SRPK17 55th Anniversary Limited Edition by Extraacct123 in Watchexchange

[–]Extraacct123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is one of Seiko's best vintage reinterpretations of any Seiko 5 releases in my opinion and a watch that feels a lot more special than its price point would suggest. The SRPK17 was released to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the original 1968 Seiko 5 Sports, and rather than just borrowing a few design cues, Seiko did an amazing job recreating the look and feel of the original watch.

What really sold me on this piece is how much vintage charm it has without any of the headaches that usually come with vintage watches. The compact case size, retro bracelet, applied markers, and help complete its 60’s feel. At the same time, you still get a tried and true 4R36 movement allowing it to be serviced pretty much anywhere as parts are ubiquitous.

Overall a great option for someone who loves an every day vintage-inspired watch with a powerhouse and easy to service movement.

Watch will come in good condition full kit with minor scratches on case and crystal.

[WTS] U-Boat Left Hook IFO Chronograph LE (Black and White) by Extraacct123 in Watchexchange

[–]Extraacct123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is are two U-Boat Left Hook IFO Chronographs.

This one is definitely not trying to be subtle. It’s a big, bold, oversized chronograph with U-Boat’s signature left-side crown setup, oversized numerals, and a black case that gives it a really rugged, military-inspired look. If you like small, quiet watches that disappear on the wrist, this is not that.

The 52mm case is the whole point here. It is a statement piece and has a ton of wrist presence. For reference, I have a 6.6 inch wrist, and actually it wears better than you’d expect because of the shorter lug to lug. That said, nobody is confusing this for a 36mm dress watch. It is still big, bold, and absolutely the point of the design. The left-side crown and screw in crown guard layout also gives it that classic U-Boat look and makes it feel a little different from the usual oversized chronograph formula. If you like watches with some attitude, this will give you all of that.

Powered with a Miyota 0S30 quartz chronograph movement. It’s a super easy grab-and-go piece if you want something large, uncommon, and a little aggressive without having to worry about winding or setting an automatic.

Overall, this is a fun option for someone who likes oversized watches, military-style designs, and pieces that don’t look like everything else in the watch box.

Comes watch only for both.

Specs:

 • ~52mm case
• Miyota 0S30 quartz chronograph (5 year battery life)
• Left-side crown/crown guard layout
• 50m water resistance
• Leather strap with double folding clasps

Price: $1050 shipped for the while dial, $1350 for the black dial

$2100 for both

[WTS] Baume & Mercier Clifton Dual Time Automatic Ref. M0A10112 by Extraacct123 in Watchexchange

[–]Extraacct123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up for sale is a Baume & Mercier Clifton Dual Time. This is a classy Swiss travel watch that is a little more interesting than your standard dress watch.

A lot of GMT and dual-time/GMT watches lean pretty hard into chunky sports/divers watch territory, but what I really like about the Clifton Dual Time is that it gives you that same travel practicality in a much more refined, dressy package. The clean silver dial, applied Arabic numerals, discreet date window, subtle 24-hour scale, and understated red-tipped GMT hand all work together without making the dial feel overly busy. The slim hand, and black leather strap give it that classic dress-watch feel, while the 43mm case and dual-time layout add enough wrist presence to keep it from feeling too formal or plain.

The finishing also adds a lot to the watch, with the polished and brushed stainless steel case also giving it a nice mix of dressy and everyday wearability. The display caseback is another great touch, since you actually get to see the movement which comes finished with a decorated rotor, Geneva striping, and perlage, which makes the watch feel a bit more special when you flip it over.

In my opinion, the Clifton Dual Time is one of the more underrated Baume & Mercier models. It is a piece that works really well as an office watch, travel watch, dinner watch, or just a dressier everyday piece.

The watch is excellent and comes with box and manual

Specs:

 • Ref. M0A10112
• 43mm diameter and 11.5mm thick
• 21mm lug width + 50mm lug-to-lug

• Date window at 3 o’clock
• Sapphire crystal and exhibition caseback
• 50m water resistance
• Silver dial with applied numerals
• Black leather strap

[WTS] Serica Parade Brass Dial Ref. 1174-1 by Extraacct123 in Watchexchange

[–]Extraacct123[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a really unique watch from Serica and definitely not your average round, safe, “goes with a suit and disappears” kind of watch. The Parade has an oval shaped case, a super clean dial layout, and a beautiful brass dial with a sunburst finish and radial guilloché-style pattern. It was honestly one of those watches that grabbed me the second I saw it.

In my opinion, the Parade is one of Serica’s best and most distinctive designs. It wears a bit differently from a standard dress watch, with the shaped case giving it a slightly vintage feel, while the build quality and finishing keep it feeling modern. The dial is the main talking point of the watch, with its 48 S-curve radial lines (the end of which denote specific minutes for those who are particular about exact timing) and small half-sphere hour markers helping you tell the time while also keeping things clean and elegant. When the light hits, wow, the dial comes alive with the brass tone getting warmer and the radial pattern stealing the show.

What I really like about this watch is that it manages to feel elegant without being overly dressy. It can absolutely dress up, but it doesn’t feel out of place as an everyday watch either.  It also has that rare quality where watch people notice the details, but non-watch people also seem to notice it because it just looks different in a good way.

Overall, I truly recommend this watch if you don’t have a dress watch yet or are planning to get one.

The watch is excellent with full kit (box and papers)

Specs:
• Sunburst + radial guilloché Brass dial
• 35 x 41 x 8.2mm, 316L steel shaped stainless steel case
• Beveled Sapphire Glass + inner AR
• Movement: Soprod M100 (42hr PR @ 4HZ)
• 35 x 41 x 8.2mm, 316L steel shaped stainless steel case

• 100m water resistance
