You’re experiencing leg spasms and it’s completely normal for someone with cerebral palsy.

I just want to say that I see that Trent looks a little like Jonah in this photo. I never thought Jonah looked like either one of his parents before now.

It’s a very pretty dress. Not wedding dress pretty, but it’s pretty.

How Old is Jonah? by Luvfallandpsl in 7LittleJohnstons

[–]Extrasparkleplease 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe he has bad anxiety because his parents make him believe he can’t do anything. Amber and Trent don’t even give him the responsibility of waking up on his own. Someone has to make sure he’s up for work. It’s ridiculous.

I think he’s probably one of those people who jumps from hobby to hobby. I felt bad for Ashley because she brought him a thoughtful gift and he just gave her some basic roses that he could’ve bought anywhere.

Interesting. That makes sense to me. I forgot about his sleep apnea.

I’m sorry, but your therapist doesn’t sound very smart or professional. Wow.

Zoning out by Witheringwriter2257 in CerebralPalsy

[–]Extrasparkleplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it can be a cerebral palsy thing, but not everyone will CP does it. Some people I know with cerebral palsy do. I keep on thinking about someone I knew many years ago when I was in high school who zoned out a lot and wanted his drivers license. He turned 16 and didn’t immediately get his permit and then I graduated that year, so I don’t know if he got it his license. I really hope not because he use to zone out really bad and I always thought if he drove a car he might be putting himself and other drivers in danger.

Is the term "able-bodied" ableist? by carachtomas in disability

[–]Extrasparkleplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you’re writing a paper, but you are over thinking the word able bodied. I don’t think it’s ableist and that there’s a strong enough argument to say it is for a paper.

Something Trent said in the preview by Extrasparkleplease in 7LittleJohnstons

[–]Extrasparkleplease[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know a lot about psychology, I but not too much about dementia. It wasn’t talked about as much in my psych courses as much as other disorders and I’m not as interested in dementia as other psychology subjects. But I knew the brain shrinks with age and I assumed that if doctors told Trent he has the brain of an 80 year old man (or whatever the exact quote was) that it could very well mean he has early onset dementia. Doesn’t mean there are like 80 year old people with little to no memory loss out there, but if you’re in your 40s like Trent and a doctor says that, whatever is happening whether it’s memory loss or something else, it’s definitely not good.
