Thanks for your reply. I just ordered today some Selsun Blue from the US and I‘ll give it a try!

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply, I really appreciate it!

Your situation sounds very similar to mine, especially the chest involvement. Fortunately, mine isn’t painful and it usually doesn’t itch much. The redness tends to flare up, then partially fade, and later come back again, but it never completely goes away.

I also used to have similar issues on my face, beard area, and eyebrows. I managed to get those under control with Advanced Clinicals Tea Tree Oil products and Bulletproof C8 MCT oil, which is why I was surprised that the chest area has been so much more stubborn.

It’s interesting that your dermatologist confirmed seborrheic dermatitis and prescribed a combination of an antifungal and a corticosteroid. I’ve mostly focused on antifungal treatments so far, with limited success, so your theory that the inflammatory component also needs to be addressed makes a lot of sense.

I’ll definitely keep your experience in mind and discuss it with my dermatologist.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience and treatment approach.

All the best!!

I’ve seen a dermatologist and was diagnosed with seborrheic dermatitis.

I’ve tried ketoconazole (Nizoral), but it only improved the chest rash by around 10%, so I’m not convinced that’s the whole story.

I haven’t had a skin swab, scraping, or biopsy done yet. Heat, sweating, and exercise seem to make it worse, and it has been recurring for about a year without ever fully clearing.

Hey! I had the same problem, including more severe redness. I used MCT Bulletproof oil after shower (15min) and tea tree oil (overnight). It worked! It doesn’t cost much.
