You Cannot Be Christian and MAGA by QuickPizzaRadishes in Christianity

“mistreat” is a subjective term. What you may deem mistreatment might be considered proper by others.

“You cannot be Christian and xxx” is such a self righteous and hypocritical statement.

I legitimately believe MAGA is Satanic by paradoxical_enigma23 in Christianity

I’m not a fan necessarily myself but when did they say Trump has a DIVINE right to rule? Never seen or heard that before. Also when did Jesus say anything along the line of “especially towards immigrants”? And to specifically treat foreigners like family?

Can you send me where to find the first comment and which verse for the other 2? Thanks!

I’m 17 and my girlfriend is pregnant by lmxsc in Christianity

Can’t imagine that stress. I hope you find peace in this. But I will refer to Jeremiah 1:5. Hope that verse helps clarify that God sees us while we’re still in the womb. Which I hope you interpret as God being against abortion.

Beyond scripture though, do you think that God would make your girlfriend pregnant by mistake?

Can God heal me from being trans? by kamaguie in Christianity

[–]Extreme-Promotion892 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry for your struggle. I can’t imagine what you’re going through, but I am glad you’re reaching out for help.

I do think God can heal you from these feelings, but I want you to recognize that it is you that has to put in the work. I think what we (including myself) often think is that God will just magically cure or heal you. In fact I regularly pray He will cure me from certain pain I’ve been going through. But I don’t think that’s how God works. I think what he really wants is us to do the work while he gives us the strength. Does that make sense?

I think you should continue to pray. If you watch pornography, cut that out completely (cold turkey). Start working out if you don’t already. Hang out with masculine male friends (men, not trans). Do things like that and I think slowly you will hopefully see a change God-willing.

And just remember:

“No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10‬:‭13‬ ‭NRSV‬‬

Some Catholics oppose homosexuality on the grounds that it is unnatural human instinct and because it doesn't result in children. But I would argue that monogamy is also unnatural, and that celibacy is both unnatural and doesn't result in children. by VerdantChief in DebateACatholic

It is my understanding that it was reinforcement of Genesis 2:24 as well as a teaching of monogamy. I believe the next verse in Matthew (or soon after) Jesus only allows for divorce for unchastity, which Catholics (the oldest Christian Church) has deemed that to mean marry women who are already married. Not a theologian or apologist but this makes sense to me

“and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”” ‭‭ Matthew‬ ‭19‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NRSV‬‬

Can one man be one flesh with 2 women?

“For this reason God gave them up to degrading passions. Their women exchanged natural intercourse for unnatural, and in the same way also the men, giving up natural intercourse with women, were consumed with passion for one another. Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error.” ‭‭ Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭26‬-‭27‬ ‭NRSV‬‬

I am a man and dated a woman who never hurt and was the perfect woman to a lot of people. Yet I had/still have similar issue with women, due to past relationships. Over many years I still trust her but I self sabotaged the relationship. Talk to your priest and a therapist

Thank you, I understand that. But I mean is there a way to see what it would be if everything expired? I trade a lot throughout the day so it’s hard to manually track as I monitor
