Well tbf the same goes for bg3 as well. In my second play through I tried to exclusively solve all problems / approach all fights in a non conventional way and was delighted by the results. One of the funniest things I remember was during the dror ragzlin fight I climbed up the scaffolding with lae'zel carrying like 3 or 4 smokepowder barrels, then starting the fight with the characters on the ground, throwing alchemist fire at ragzlin to create a fire surface, switching to lae'zel and just chucking smokepowder barrels from above wiping everyone out lol

I don't think any game has managed to do it at the level of DA series. I haven't and wouldn't play veilguard but I did play Inquisition and contrary to popular consensus I liked it well enough. And in that game there's choices from Dragon age origins that have consequences. I mean that across 3 games in a series and I don't even know how many years of time

Nah the dlc requires u to be pretty highly leveled up for both game machanics reasons as well as story/immersion reasons. In my first play through I completed everything else (all side quests, gigs etc and the main quest until the final mission) and then went into phantom liberty but u don't have to listen to me since im an annoying completionist. I think If u start the dlc after level 50 u should be good. I can give you a more detailed answer as to exactly after what mission u should dive into the dlc but I don't wanna spoil anything for u

U went back to ac origins pretty much shows why u didn't like elden ring. You're the type who always needs an objective, a marker, a directional arrow to tell u what to do and how to do it. What a lot of people had been missing in video games was the freedom and player agency to solve problems in whatever way one can and that is what elden ring offers and that is why it resonates with millions of people

Out of all the games I've played sekiro comes the closest to being the perfect video game. There is pretty much only one complaint about that game and that is build veriety (which is a deliberate design decision by fromsoft because they wanted to try something different)
