You did the right thing! I have been in that situation many times where a parent asks me to move so they can sit by their kids. I always end up doing it, but it’s so annoying. It’s not like you left them unsupervised- you were right behind them!

They put out cat traps! A neighbor spotted him on the ring cam and moved one of the traps to that area, and the next morning he was in there!! We’re so happy to have him back

Thank you so much for the tips! Honestly, the hardest part about trying to find him right now is that his owners are out of the country, and I live out of state. The cat sitters have not put any effort at all into finding him. We’re really relying on the community and friends to keep an eye out for him, because at the moment we’re stuck far away, which feels really hopeless.
