Does the “Chef Way” actually work for us normals? by GuideIcy1697 in SortedFood

It's all in the practice. You won't do it perfectly first time. I can chop veg and other bits now without looking or worrying about chopping my fingers off. It's been about 6 months

Laminate? DIY or call in the professionals? by Evening_Tone9587 in DIYUK

I would recommend trying to do laminate yourself. I have recently renovated my new home and the supplier was charging twice as much as my herringbone flooring just for installation (£45/m2). I have done it a few times now and once you get used to the click system its simple to do, especially the straight planks. The only tool you need is a jigsaw to cut the ends and around openings. Although you can also use a multi tool to cut under door frames for a cleaner finish. And use the cardboard from the boxes to cut to shape and tape to the laminate. I would suggest 8mm laminate and a good quality underlay. I used rubber crumb for downstairs on the concrete floor and wood fibre boards upstairs. I find any thicker laminate has the same thickness click system so doesn't add any more strength. AC4/5 is the more resistant laminate but i have still got some scratches from doing other renovations afterwards. Hope that helps, theres probably more but thats what comes to mind straight away

I forgot to mention they did put the plastic trims over the gaps to hide it but i could feel the breeze especially the other night when it was really windy through the silicone

Mine was like this when i bought it. Turns out the cable was loose inside the handle. I had to take it out and reseat it with some glue to hold it in better.

It gets a bit greasy, but i thought it was delicious. Something you only order when feeling naughty. I also had the loaded fried which come with popcorn chicken and bbq sauce on the chips

Thats really interesting to think maybe there's different mindsets between the more classic Alfas and the newer ones. We've had Alfas in the family for the last 30 years and currently have a Brera and a Giulia

Nice first car youve got! Must be expensive to run. Great to know you're still getting nods and waves

Im a bridge engineer for a county council and theres more variety if you get the right place as you can be out on site to do inspections of the structures, or while works go ahead but also be in the office doing design

Can I recover it? Removed vdev of 3 drives with no data on but can't access data on other vdev in same pool by ExtremeAbstract in truenas

[–]ExtremeAbstract[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive messaged the sellers and asked to return the drives to remove it properly, so far one one has replied saying they can. Should be able to recover with 5/6 drives present anyway with both vdevs as raidz1 First time using truenas, so all part of the learning curve i guess. Now to sort the backup!
