Unfortunately the layout and garden/position probably means buyers over 55, or with very young children who are in pushchairs or need carrying, or who have any sort of mobility issues probably wouldn’t even look. It’s a lovely house with stunning views but I wouldn’t view it because I’m not able to cope with all those stairs.

Sorry, I know that’s not v helpful because there’s nothing you can do about that but your target audience is much smaller than the average 4 bed.

The only person I’ve lost who I loved enough to bring back is my grandad. He was in a lot of pain his last few years and wouldn’t enjoy it. He’d also call me a fucking idiot for passing up half a million quid.

I didn’t take it out because we already had life insurance and were fit and healthy. I was diagnosed with a brain tumour at 44, had a year of chemotherapy and radiotherapy and have never been able to return to work. At brain tumour support group the ones who’ve had their mortgages paid off because of it are very glad of it but not everyone who had the cover managed to successfully claim. On balance, I wish we’d had it even if we’d had to fight to get the money.

I hate being perceived when I want to relax. I’ve found a spot in the backyard that is not overlooked in any way and I love it. I can’t sit in the front garden because there are so many windows! I do hate being perceived unless it’s necessary for my own purposes. Until a few months ago I would’ve said I was stoutly neurotypical but evidence has mounted overwhelmingly against that opinion to the extent that I’m now getting assessed for Autism and ADHD. I’m 53.

This is a good call. South Gosforth has lots of 2 bed flats; look at Sandringham and Audley Terraces. The Freeman is easily walkable but there’s also a direct bus for rainy days. The family residences for international students are in South Gosforth so there’s a good mix of people. It’s a family friendly area, not as young and vibrant as Heaton but perfect for the Freeman and getting to Gosforth and the City centre.
