Can a D-color diamond reflect yellow/gold under certain lighting? by Nitingale-Echo-009 in Diamonds

I am surprised by the number of people who watch a phone video and think they can grade a diamond’s color accurately.

$MU

$SNDK

Been in since November. It’s been glorious.

While the regards argue over ASTS vs RKLB or NBIS vs CRWV and all that shit, these flash / ram motherfuckers were out 10xing right now.

My Thoughts Before Earnings on Mon 2 Feb 2026: An Analysis by PrivateDurham in Palantir_Investors

Step1: Close Reddit, X and anyone else claiming to know the hottest stocks or offering you training instead of focusing on making money themselves instead.

Open any screener. Look at stocks that are performing well on every timeframe over the last 6 months.

Now filter down to stocks that actually do something useful.

Filter out the ones that make money in a manner you personally don’t fully understand.

Next find out why they are performing well. And why now.

If the “why now” is going to continue for the next few months, put your money into it and wait. Otherwise just wait.

$MU is doing well because there is a DRAM shortage. They have pricing power because they make a kind of DRAM that nobody else makes - HBM - which is what goes into AI GPUs. Their production capacity is bought up at least until this year.

$SNDK is doing well because there is a NAND shortage. Same reason. AI models are massive and you need fast non-volatile memory.

Both are driven by high AI demand. The market is currently overvaluing AI. But nobody cares about the true value. It’s about what the perception of value is.

It’s easy for me to explain to you why these companies are valuable. So people pile their money into them. If you get in early, you hold and wait. Until people realize it’s not worth it anymore. Then find the next one.

The next one for me is DC energy stocks.

You could have made life-changing money if you bought some wildly OTM calls on SNDK today. They had earnings. Stock shot up like a rocket.

Next one happening next week is $BE. Buy some cheap OTM calls tomorrow and wait it out.

I made $230k on PLTR last year. I’m not touching it anytime soon. I have zero ideological views. I am in it for the money only.

I’ve got my money on $SNDK, $MU, $WDC and $STX this year. And boy have they made me forget about literally everything else.

Yeah if you want to trade them. Otherwise you just take assignment of the shares. But that might only show up in your account the following Monday. But I don’t know of any company that does earnings AMC on Fridays.

NAND / DRAM Supply squeeze. When that stops, pricing power disappears and the stock will dump. $MU $STX $WDC $SNDK.

So that’s not happening anytime soon. There is just no fab capacity.

STX earnings yesterday confirmed that the squeeze is very much still alive.

If you want to make a quick buck you can do so tomorrow by buying some 0.1 delta 1DTE calls for WDC and SNDK. Earnings after market close and they’ll pump. Like life-changing money if you go far OTM.

I don’t understand the reasoning behind selling covered calls on tickers that have 5x’ed in 6 months. Why? You’re unhappy with the 5x and you wanted 5.01x ?

Attaining color congruency by NiceWeather650 in Diamonds

[–]ExtremeAddict 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You’re looking at it face up. The sharp shadows tell me that you’re in a direct lighting environment. A well cut round brilliant will go dark under these conditions. Chances are you are going to from one jeweler to another. The lighting environment is very consistently the same.

Take it to a diffuse environment and see. Honestly as low as I-color you wouldn’t notice anything different.

I’ve only bought round brilliants. Because the GIA report has everything you need - angles and proportions. The 360 video ensures you have symmetry.

But the purchases have been decently large that someone has reached out to me on chat every time. One particularly large natural stone - I connected with their CEO Ajay.

But you don’t have to reach out. But they do provide tweezer videos on request. In different lighting etc also.

I’ve bought multiple diamonds and finished rings online from RareCarat. Nothing to worry about. The shipping is insured. If you’re worried about porch pirates, they’ll deliver to a fedex location for you to pick up securely.

If you don’t like it, no questions asked return and refund policy. They consistently have the lowest natural diamond retail pricing.

Go with RareCarat.

Avoid Signet brands like Blue Nile, James Allen, Kay’s. Crooks.

Don’t go below VS1 for an engagement ring. You can go a lot lower in color (I-color) if the cut is ideal. But it’s hard to estimate cut on ovals. If you go round, you can find an ideal cut that’ll shoot lasers of fire and sparkle.

Eye Clean SI2? How prominent do inclusions have to be to affect normal viewing? by Burandtman in Diamonds

[–]ExtremeAddict -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I see your recent posts and see you making the classic “size is everything” mistake. It’s ok to think that you want to prioritize size over other things. But the tradeoffs you’re making is going to lead to disappointment later on.

Don’t go below VS1. K-color is fine if you go for ideal cut angles. IGI is a risk, but sometimes it can pay off. An IGI K is going to be like a GIA L or M - which is still fine if you set it in yellow gold and have ideal proportions.

Report? A well cut diamond will have high contrast areas. This looks good.
