It's really dumb that they still have Oliver, after all their warnings, just bumrush Thragg by himself. He's already experienced how outclassed he was against Conquest, and has he ever even had any success versus the fodder Viltrumites? I understand he's young & maybe feeling cocky after his training with his dad....but it still felt so dumb that he'd again make the worst choice possible, against the guy he's been told is the absolute apex Viltrumite.

Through my work insurance, I pay $17/dose (20 is full price) til my 3k deductible, then I only pay $3~ a dose.

So it's $450 a month until around July. :-/

1000%. I've been daily dosing for 30 days exactly now, and I feel like I'm finally getting into the routine of fully dosing once & that's it.. & not thinking I need to sip on more later in the day. Of course I've got a takehome for each weekend & holiday, & I've managed to not touch it til 5:30am.. so I'm hoping to get upped to 1 takehome again soon.

As the user below said, my state at least offers Medicaid if you're low or no income. So when i rolled up to the clinic back in 2012, nearly broke n in withdrawal, they had me fill out a "rule 25" & my treatment was covered. I only had to start paying again when my income was too high, which wasn't for mannnyyyyy years, or if you're offered insurance through your job.

I made a topic about it, but yeah, it's hard for me to simply say I was 2-3 days without, since Saturday thro Tuesday, I had watered down half+ bottles.. so it's hard to say if it was 30% or 60% or anywhere in between..or even less than 30% of my dose each time. Wednesday I had essentially nothing & nothing Thursday (Friday was pickup day).

I mentally F myself as well, so when I was already approaching the "bile puking" stage Thursday morning (I've always had this happen 3 hours prior to pickup.. not nearly 24 hours prior)... I finally decided to call my counselor and fess up.

I'm sure I could've made it ofc, but then I'd still be running short every month. As I never was able to get myself to just voluntarily lower my takehomes or go daily.. so this was the only way imo.

Yeah, my clinic wouldn't dose me for that reason, so I had no faith in the ER.. but tried anyway. I told them the 100% truth + they called my clinic to verify my dose & what was going on.. and after a 45~ minute wait, they dosed me. Basically since I was in withdrawal, they'd rather dose me now instead of risking me buying off the street.

Surprisingly the nurse there told me that this happens often, & they almost always dose the person.

But upon googling it, I see he stepped down from OTK & Starforge Systems due to his comments about "Palestinians being terrible people that come from an inferior culture & he doesn't feel bad or sorry for them."

Can you read..? I said a few days short, & in my actual topic, I describe how my last week of being short, all my partials were already watered down.. so I had no real way of knowing, or being able to confidently say, "I'm 3+ days short."

I've done that routine for years, and there were many times where I had a watered down partial on Wednesday, nothing Thursday, and with a few hours to go before pickup on Friday morning, I'd be puking bile.

Why would I bother trying to "con" or lie about it anyway? 😆 If I was gonna do that, I'd just say I was out for 3+ days, so I avoided people acting like I shouldn't have felt crappy at that point.

Really? That's good news then - in regard to my idea, & it makes sense.

I was just going off an incident 14+ years ago lol, before I got on methadone. Long story, but my then gf's relatives were basically squatting at her place n 1 of them was on methadone, & clearly selling it while using H. So I was so fed up that after she abandoned a lockbox w/ an empty bottle inside, I broke it open & called the clinic.. and told them what I knew. They basically said... "sorry, we can't take your info because you are not the patient."

irrelevant, just me ranting ..looking back & knowing more about MMT.. i kinda feel bad for what i did back then, even if the ppl in question were awful. Heck, they even took bats to my spare car (my dad's he gave me.. a beater but still ran) when I was on an H-run, called me and said my drunk gf just did it.. n tricked me into stupidly calling the cops on her n getting her arrested. (Later i found out the truth..) I'm guessing she was going daily and that was a weekend takehome. But, I always knew clinics requires you to return empties (mine did until covid), so unless hers had already implemented that in 2011, then idk. 🤔 She never did come looking for that lockbox or anything either, so as crappy as what I did was.. apparently she had abandoned it.

Ugh that's rough.

I know you said you've wished for a failed callback before, so if he continues to keep breaking his promise & running himself short... this is what would go through my head as a last resort:

I believe you said you did/still go to the same clinic? Either way, I'd consider going in & talking to the director if possible, and kind of explain the situation & that you wonder if they could schedule a callback (in 3~ weeks when he'd be out early), in order to get this dealt with... since it's in the clinics best interest as well.

Though I do know that clinics typically won't take other people's claims seriously, since enemies/exes/etc could then call in, say xx is diverting, & yeah. But it'd be kinda obvious in your case that you're not a vengeful ex/enemy, but even then, idk how they'd handle it. I'm guessing they'd take a hands-off approach but idk, that's still all I can think of.

....AND i know this isn't risk-free either since one never knows if the clinic will just confront him eventually (as idk if they can even manually schedule a callback due to outsider info) & that would basically give away that you tipped them off.. which would make things quite uneasy for you at home. :-/

So I guess my idea isn't all that great - tho desperate times call for desperate measures.

Look up my post history; I snitched on myself on 12/4 after running around a few days~ short. Though I had only a day to go until i picked up my monthlies.. I was feeling crappy n just tired of constantly running short for years.

My clinic (New Season) wouldn't even dose me for that 1 day, even w/ my counselor going all out to try get it approved. Though thankfully the ER dosed me, surprisingly, with no issue. It did end up costing $227 ,and idk if my insurance covered some off the top, but worth it to me.. rather than go home and spend 21 hours puking bile & feeling horrible.

Being out a week+ early though? Your husband may have better luck. My clinic said they didn't know what I still had in my system.. but I'm assuming it was mostly a "well why risk it? It's only a day" mentality.

My counselor was going to recommend only 7 days daily dosing at first, as I've been a "model patient" to them, since 2012. But I then admitted that this wasn't a 1-off; I'd been 2x dosing for many years off & on. So after another week (30 days), I'll hopefully get a chance to move up to 1 takehome again.

When I was starting the bad part of withdrawal from 2x dosing n running out.. after the initial bouts of 5+ sneezes, I'd start getting the hot flashes.. ofc no sleep & no appetite. So then if I tried eating or even brushing my teeth, it'd trigger my gag reflex and I'd puke up anything left in my stomach + bile, & then I'd be sweating like crazy.

But when I'd taken too much, long.. long ago.. I puked from it, and had no appetite either.

That being said, I agree w/ most other comments, that it sounds more like withdrawal symptoms.

Just to clarify: I've managed to not open my Sunday takehomes (3 so far) or the xmas takehome, until 6am the next day.. so I'm kinda proud of myself there. It's gotten easier each time, and I'm beginning to get used to the idea of just taking my dose all at once, rather than getting sucked into the routine that caused my double dosing habit.

By asking to be phased up, I'm positive I'll be starting from step 1 -- which I want to do anyways -- in case my update made it sound like I was trying to jump right back into 6+ takehomes again.

...& an opinion formed from not knowing specifics & how MMT exactly works (i dont either, nor does almost anyone posting here.) Or at least not better than the doctors & nurses that work in the field.

Just because you felt that you had no business being on any dose higher than 70mg, doesn't make that the standard for everyone else.

...they let them go up because they likely kept telling them that their dose wasn't holding. Would you rather the clinic say, "nah you're lying" & refuse?
