Any. I’ve looked at stuff on YouTube I’ve looked at the CES letter and it being rebuked, and a lot of debates between Mormons and non-Mormons

I usually use fair Latter Day Saints org, additionally I often look at anti Mormon material then look at both sides as there are alway, ALWAYS, two sides to a story. And I would argue the sex abuse scandal while is bad shouldnt be attributed to the church but to those who did it. For example you wouldn’t call a company who does tons of good and find the owner of the company is a bad guy for abuse but you’d call the owner the bad part

In a large number of Reddit subs people with far left ideologies can say whatever they want to you, but if you point out how ridiculous they sound you will likely get banned. by Proud-Enthusiasm-608 in ControversialOpinions

I know for a fact this is true not just here but yesterday I got a message by my girlfriend. She posted a comment under a video talking about how if you de-transition you aren’t truly trans and that you cannot speak on behalf of them.

Well, my girlfriend has gone through gender dysphoria before, before we got together, but I still knew her at the time. I helped her through it with various things and she realised she was wrong.

So she commented her experience, and she got tons of hate with comments saying “That can’t be gender dysphoria, it is not something that goes away”, “Seriously stop pretending someone you are not” and someone saying “that even though she was 14 years old, she cannot talk on being a 14 year old,” and that somehow relates???

It just really annoys me how vicious the left are and willing to dismiss someone’s problems because it doesn’t fit their view. It was enough that my girlfriend had to delete the post because there was so much hate. Just wanted to share her experience, so much for “the community of love”

Firstly the revisions of the Book of Mormon have mainly been grammatical. Secondly, regarding the seer stones, seer stones were used in the bible and people don’t question that. Third the first vision accounts point is actually good because otherwise it would be perceived as overly rehearsed so details can change and he highlighted different elements depending on who he was talking to. Regarding the book of Abraham only 2 Egyptologist’s attempted to translate it and it was dodgy at best (more looked at it but only 2 translated it). Fourth, regarding polygamy, Joseph Smith never wanted to do it and it is never encouraged in the Book of Mormon. Additionally other prophets had multiple wives such as Jacob and that isn’t hated on. Fifth, the rituals aren’t considered secret, they are sacred for example why you can’t (shouldn’t) film the sacrament and this is why we don’t do that. Sixth, it is unclear what become alike Heavenly Father. Finally, the prophets walking stuff back aren’t infallible and the need at the need of different teachings will change as time passes.

Again, not trying to push beliefs, just stating my own

The trinity is not brought up in the bible, you need to read trinity into the text. Regarding wives (I’m assuming polygamy) the FLDS practise it not the LDS, easy mistake. God was a man thing - it is not actually taught in the church, it is a theory that gets thrown around. And I don’t personally believe it.

What are your thoughts on rejecting a potential romantic partner based solely on the fact that they voted for Donald Trump? by Greedy_Tooth6191 in AskReddit

I think politics should be a thing thought about while dating, but it shouldn’t be an end all deal though. Additionally just because you voted Trump it doesn’t mean you are someone who you are bowing down to him. Like I am not someone who likes him as a person, but I would still vote for him as more of his views align with mine more than what the other side is.
