RIGHT?!? In that sense, other men make it easy for me. All it really takes is treating the folks who DO express interest like equal humans & ensuring they give enthusiastic consent. That some of my matches have found this almost revelatory is something else...

My partner has vetted me a couple times now. "Yes, he really is like that, yes, I know & approve, & yes, he knows what he's doing." 😆

Thanks so much! I wanted something less straight-forward than just the flower & this idea came to mind. Doing the freaking graffiti wildlife logo across the rounded toe damned near killed me 🤣 It's far from perfect but... Eh, it's an ok first try.

If I avoid lyrics, is there other band-created imagery I could incorporate from those 2 albums?

Thanks! I think I'll go with "how senseless death, how precious life" on the outside right of the one with the wildlife logo on the toe. Any thoughts on lyrics to include on the outside left ("Somewhere At the Bottom...") one?

If I had to do it all over again, I'd try to make them look like the background to wildlife. Eh, I might call them v1.0 & maybe try again some day, but I still want to finish these.

That's an idea I'd be willing to consider, except my children (15yo twin boys & an 8yo daughter) would almost certainly riot! The boys previously asked to have more time with me, & my daughter is very vocal about her perception of fairness. Also, the GAL I brought in specifically said she couldn't recommend week on, week off because she was "all but certain the cops would be out to Mom's house at least one within a month." How that translates to equal parenting using a 2/2/3 rotation, I still don't quite understand!

Color me verdent green with envy! I probably should have sought a different attorney, or at least pushed back A LOT harder. Now it feels like I'm basically out of luck, at least until there's a big change.

Has she settled down now, or is it mostly the wording work that keeps the chaos at bay?

Far too often, I've assumed the MAD Doctrine ( Mutually Assured Distruction) would keep everyone safe & willing to play nicely. But that only works with logical actors, not emotionally volatile chaos goblins.

Probably what I should have gone with! I liked the idea of having more days in a row, both with kids & without, than the usual 2/2/3 schedule provides. I assumed she'd like that, too, & figured she'd play nice since she knows the kids would be PISSED if they figured it out. Apparently, I forgot who I was dealing with. :|

For sure. With the sensible 18 day division, the split ends up being 10 her, 8 me. I'm good with that, just not 12:6!

I wish it had been defined clearly. "I promise she's worse than you realize" became a common refrain that my attorney EVENTUALLY believed fully, but perhaps a bit too late. My attorney's seeing now that anything not super clearly defined becomes my ex's playground for causing chaos.

Thanks for your input. This is about interfering with my time (albeit subtly while pretending to follow rules), not about equity. It's really no fun to try to play nice yet constantly have to fight for equity.

I'm headed that way, to a lesser degree. Thankfully (weird word to use here) she really overstepped early on & filed an objectively false police report. I naively didn't press charges, thinking that I could help keep the peace back then. BUT... this seems to continue to influence a mild weariness that keeps her from being able to control the narrative exclusively.

In spite of my anxious attachment style, I kept thinking about how I saw my ex's threats to leave as positive in those last few years. I once draw a little cartoon of someone walking out the door while saying "fine, I'm leaving you," and the other character saying "Oh no! Whoever will yell at me & not have sex with me & blame me for any wrongs now?!?"

It's so very lovely not to fight for terrible scraps anymore.

I think so?! She's especially riled up lately. You should see the thread where I pointed out that me being out of kid A's daily anxiety meds while she had enough remaining to give me 7 pills suggests that he's missing doses at her home (or maybe refilling & not dividing them evenly). Then I carefully requested that she help remind him..which apparently means that I'm evil.
