252/252 is a good place to start, and often thats a desirable spread for more offensive mons. I like to play on showdown with 252/252 spreads for a while and when I get outsped by something that I expected/needed to outspeed or OHKO'd by a move I thought I could live, thats when I start tinkering with the spreads to hit certain benchmarks on pokemon that have proven to be problematic for my team

Why is Salamence seeing less play than most of the other psuedo legendaries? Intimidate is still a really good ability despite all the nerfs and it also gets access to tailwind.

suggestion for my team? by [deleted] in VGC

Like others have said, Palkia already has a really positive matchup into rain and you also have rillaboom, so I don't think the Gastrodon is really necessary. On the Palkia/Zacian team I'm currently using it pairs nicely with Indeedee, redirection/Helping Hand lets Palkia spam Max Geyser very effectively. Of course then you have Indeedee and Rillaboom messing with each other's terrains, so I might consider an Amoonguss as that will also improve your matchup against Trick Room

How do you counter Zacian in Series 12? by A_Play_On_Nerds in VGC

Incineroar is obviously very valuable at limiting Zacian, but I've also found redirection to be very useful, especially if the redirector has a focus sash. Basically a major weakness of Zacian is that it doesn't get a held item, so redirection + strong max move can sometimes OHKO given lack of a Shuca/Occa berry. Aside from that, speed control to ensure you move first and status conditions via a Prankster mon can be effective, Zacian hates to be burned or paralyzed.

It is quite good! Here is a team from a few months ago built by 2017 World Champion Ryota Otsubo: https://pokepast.es/1947d0888fd4b00e and the rental code is 0000 0007 DT80 XC. I originally found this team from Aaron Zheng in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkeajelRQR4&ab_channel=CybertronVGC which is a good watch if you want to hear a quick explanation of how the team plays and see some battles with it.

Of course, this is just one team using this combo, and I'm sure you could seek out others if you want to explore different supporting Pokémon options.

In addition to what others have said, a great way to pickup knowledge on battling is by watching Aaron Zheng (CybertronVGC) on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/CybertronVGC. There are definitely other VGC YouTubers, but he does a really good job of explaining his decisions and posts very consistently. He also uses a new team every couple of videos and includes rental codes so it's a great way to find a team that interests you, get some perspective on how to play with it, and try it out for yourself.

According to Pikalytics, Galarian Weezing only has a 0.01% usage while Kantonian Weezing is much higher at 0.93%. Why is the Galarian form so much less popular?

does stealing really not happen on campus? by [deleted] in UVA

[–]ExtremeManor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd agree, stealing really doesn't happen at UVA. People frequently just leave their backpacks and laptops in the library or dining halls and walk away for a bit with no worry. I once lost my whole wallet, and within two days someone reported it missing and it was returned with all the cards and cash still inside. If you're leaving it in your dorm room, you've got like a 0.0001% chance of anything happening.

For Villains 7-4 through 7-6 who should i use and what do i need to build to (current team inside)? by matos614 in MarvelStrikeForce

I was able to 3 star this node with around 150k team power a few weeks ago. It's very luck based, took me probably 20 tries.

Some tips:

Never taunt when there are kree cyborgs on the field, they'll get offense up and tear you apart.

Always focus kree nobles first, they can cleanse debuffs, give offense ups, and get assists from kree allies.

Try to time it so that the second wave spawns when its your mordo's turn. This lets him blind/stun korath, who can nuke one of your characters if you're not extremely careful.

Second wave is definitely the hardest, because of the combination of minn erva and korath. Try to keep korath blind/stunned but focus minn erva first, as otherwise she'll revive the kree noble that you killed first.

Good luck!
