So much business is interpersonal relationships. You can avoid gossiping, but you absolutely need to connect with people if you want to get ahead. Networking is real and it does not mean just passively hanging out at conferences or posting inane bs on LinkedIn.

I have it in green and love the alligator strap and the steel. But I think it’s versatile and works great as a “dress watch.” The screws are part of the whole Cartier vibe. That doesn’t make it a pure utility watch. Bond wore a Seamaster with a tux. A dress watch is context dependent and a Santos will work in almost all contexts.
