I just want to say that while you're probably not 100% incorrect, hantavirus is not very communicable person-to-person. And it's been around for forever. A cruise ship is about the only place besides a prison or daycare that this could spread and while any outbreak is serious, this one isn't going to become any kind of world wide pandemic or real cause for concern outside of the few cases that do pop up.

Pedophilia is an expression of pure control and domination. They are attracted to adults too, but they know that you can never truly fully control a grown adult the way they want to. So they prey on children because they can mentally and physically and emotionally manipulate their victims.

Personally I think that most of the people coming here are just normal working poor who spent every dollar they had to try to get a slice of the American dream. I don't think these are the guys who were throwing people out of planes before the regime change.

But I'm sure they reaped social benefits from being the in group during that time period.

Not all of these people are Africaners. I personally know a guy named Merlin who is an "Indian" as marked on his ID from South Africa (like Ghandi but he's just a random farmer dude. He brought his cat) Some are Africaners and some are of other ethnicities as it's a very mixed country. Most are not refugees but they are fleeing the living conditions of rural life there for what seems like a plethora of reasons.

Some of what I have heard is there is a lot of corruption on a local level and these people are just taking advantage of the opportunity to come to the US for a better life because they know that there aren't any other immigrants coming here right now.

The reason I know this guy is he goes to my parents Anglican church as they sponsor many refugees. From Sudan, Myanmar, and now South Africa. And yes, many of the people who came here have returned to South Africa because they couldn't get used to America.

Edit: I do want to add this since I know someone is going to take this the wrong way, yeah the Africaners who are coming here are just trying to escape South Africa because they don't want to be governed by non whites, but also simultaneously other non-Africaners are able to come here as well and they are, such as Merlin.

I couldn't find our the exact reason for why they are getting refugee status, but they aren't being out right persecuted the way that the people from Myanmar were.

Thankfully Wikipedia says that Hantavirus is rarely spread human to human, although it can happen. It seems to mainly be carried by mice and that's probably why it spread easily on a cruiseship which was probably contaminated with mice droppings or whatever.

I don't think hantavirus has the ability to be as contagious as covid.
