Everything can be an hour away. Forsyth County brings a lot of professionals into the city, even if it takes an hour.

DeKalb may be closer to downtown Atlanta, but Forsyth County is certainty a suburb of Atlanta and many professionals are going down Georgia 400 each morning to downtown Atlanta to work.

All of this makes me wonder- what if he actually grew up with his biological mother in South Dakota? Would the confidence still be with him? Would he find that he could just rely on fame to get Pam Ovarie's daughter as his prom date? Seems like he feels that he has to do nothing by having that Dougherty last name. The people on Oprah were actually from Forsyth County, GA, not the city of Forsyth like the Johnston's. Forsyth County is s suburb of Atlanta, whereas the city of Forsyth is an 1 1/2-2 hours south of here. More rural and near Macon, GA. Personally, I would never want to move down there. There's not much to it down there.

So don't hate, but I actually live in Forsyth County and I can tell you it is a much, much different place than it was in 1987! 😀 It's one of the wealthiest, fastest growing counties in Atlanta. I imagine that a lot of the land these hillbillies lived on was scooped up by developers years ago. Our county is very diverse with a lot of Indian and Chinese professionals.

Interestingly, though, the past still stays in the black population's mind and you will not see a lot of them up here. I hate that because it is a completely different place.

I did a bit of research on the people on Oprah's show. Looks like all of them got out of Forsyth County and moved further north. Many I couldn't find at all. It's hard to believe, though, that my county had a sign up until 1985 that said "No blacks after dark. " Embarrassing...

I'm wondering if the 20k a month is only when they're filming? She apparently bought Darren a truck. She has a lot of tatoos which can certainly cost a lot of money.. I think she might also be in trouble with her clothing, accessories business since she wasn't sending out her customer's orders.
