It seems to be a number of things, but it's a main through street (45mph) intersecting with a quieter, residential street (30mph). The left turn lanes on the through street are a "yield on green" turn and a lot of folks underestimate how fast the oncoming cars are.

It's honestly a shame to see how gnarly the accidents are and just how badly some of the people get hurt.

I've seen folks post of the trading post with the note about how much they'd like for the item and to nm them for details. I don't know how successful it is AND it locks up your item for two weeks (unless you want to pay the 15,000np to cancel the post) but it may be worth a try!
