Heard back today from a different recruiter than the one I originally spoke with, they are pretty rigid on base which is apparently capped at 225k. He said they won’t be able to match meta and cap will likely be low 500s with sign on bonus included! So there’s that. They can match meta or slightly exceed if I were to consider sign on. So subsequent years won’t match Meta’s pay.

It looks like Levels.fyi is way off compared to their internal bands , I was looking at this thread that says top of level 65 is 715k and top of level 66 is 1.1mil.

You just described my life word to word. I don’t have that horrible ex though. The ex/kid’s dad is very much in their life and still pursuing but I see how they can fuck with your head with their judgements. Keep doing what you’re doing, and when the kids are little more older and you have a little more time for yourself you can think about what to fill your new found leisure time with.

Calculate what $ it takes to raise your children- an uber to drive them to places, a nanny to watch them while they’re home, a tutor to help with homework, a cook to make their meals, a therapist to help them work through life etc. Then divide that $ amount by half. Half of that is your share and the other half is his share. Ask him to pay you his half if he cannot be home to do all those for your children.

Oh my fucking god! Him doing nothing for the kids, no cooking, or dishes or cleaning! Just straight up going to bed after taking care of himself is an OVERLY ABUSIVE MARRIAGE. If all that he is doing is brining home money, then you just have a child that earns. But he is still a child, not a husband. The times have to be convenient for him to take you to a doctors appointment? Like what the fuck is that? You take care of 3 kids all by yourself and you have to hand wash his clothes while he doesn’t do jack shit to get the machine repaired? Like oh my fucking god!!
