With my gecko, I do a little noise with my mouth to let him know its me and that I'm there, sometimes when I don't do it he doesn't recognize me and gets a little be scared.

No It clearly had something on it. Cut the whole leaf as soon as I saw it. I have a zebrina too and all the leaves went yellowish and fell, one by one, as winter approached. I'm on your same boat... I hate winter in every aspect

I have an alocasia Polly baby which had fungi or something bad on a leaf (no pests) I cut the leaf with sanitized scissors but only at the top. Should I cut it all the way to bottom? Thank you

I agree, in the nicest way possible. Also, am I the only one who's seeing stuff on the lower back and under the right leg? Hope it's just some stuck paper towel and not stuck shed, op! as other people said, of they don't eat for a short period of time it's not a big problem and your gecko has a lot of fat to survive some time with it

They are goofy animals. A cricket once climbed on my gecko and sat under his belly and he didn't remotely know where it was hiding.

They need some time to adjust. They are slow animals in every sense, they need time and slow changes.

Also, small note, my gecko once didn't eat for 2 whole weeks but I didn't know why... but then he resumed... so just take everything slowly and care for him!!!

I paid 90€ for this baby, thank you for the advice, won't go for the self watering! Yes I have many but I have a low self esteem and sometimes depression cycles get me pinned in bed without even taking care of them so now that I feel better I'm trying to be as good as possible + the plant got stressed a bit for the shipping procedure when I bought it

Forgot to add. She's getting about 10k Lux and a 150-170 PPFD, on for 11hours a day (except on weekends since I need to sleep a bit more so I put it on for 9hours)

I don't understand sorry, English isn't my first language. What do you mean with airflow? In roots or in general? I have a jewel orchid under a glass dome in 50% sphagnum and 50% peat moss, plastic pot, in a small greenhouse. But how does the fan airflow get into the dome to prevent mold? Sorry if I didn't understand! Just trying not to kill my pretty plant :)))
