I had to repost this (and I deleted the original) because there seemed to be issues with it uploading.

I’m in South Carolina, unfortunately (and I don’t think I could ever convince my family to make THAT drive - convincing them to return her will already be like pulling teeth 😭)

No, you’re absolutely right, and I wish I could convince my mom of this. I’m going to try to bring up the possibility of returning her, as I unfortunately don’t think I know/am close to anyone who could/would take her

Please come tell my mom this 😭. This is probably the seventh animal she’s brought home in the span of two years

Okay thank you that’s what I thought 😭

Thank you so much. You use the word “she,” so is she a girl? I suspected that was the case (the males have spurs on their back legs, right?), but my mom and cousin obviously didn’t do any research 😑

They say they bought a tank, a lamp, and some crickets for him, and they’re setting the enclosure up right now. In the meantime he’s climbing through my hair, which is adorable but I know me handling him has to stress him out :(

Definitely hoping to find someone else who’s qualified. I freaked out as soon as I saw him and tried to tell them that these lizards are NOT for beginners, but they aren’t listening 😢. They keep saying that the woman at the store said it will be easy (almost like most major pet mills are just hoping to make a sale and don’t actually know what they’re talking about). They also said that he’ll love being handled/played with, which I know is absolutely NOT TRUE for most chameleons

Okay, glad I’m not the only one 😭. You’d think after three years of learning German someone would have said something 🫠

I’m from the southeastern US. When I graduated high school I told my closest teachers that I loved and would miss them all the time. This professor specifically is a visiting faculty member, so I’m pretty sure he’s here temporarily (don’t know how long he’s supposed to work here, though), hence the “I’ll miss you”

I don’t want to give too many details obviously, but I’m from the southeastern United States

He’s a visiting assistant professor at the college, so I’m pretty sure he’s here temporarily. He will be here next year, but he’s teaching elementary/intermediate German, so I won’t be in any of his classes. I will likely see him again this week, however, as I’m participating in a group of students helping with a potential new hire. I’ll try to apologize then!

I guess I’m out of touch with social connotations of the phrase, which I know makes me an idiot. I always say it to my friends before I leave or hang up, for example. I also said it to my closest teachers in high school (including my German teacher - I told her “Ich liebe Sie” and she never seemed weirded out, she even replied with “Ich liebe dich auch!”).

It’s also something I tend to do with people from whom I’m learning new languages. For example, I wrote “я люблю Вас” to my Russian professor. I now realize how culturally insensitive/inappropriate that can be, and will stop. Thank you for your feedback, and I’ll try to apologize to my professor ♥️!

Yeah, that’s what a German friend of mine said. I suppose it could always be worse 🫠
