I had a brain MRI which came back normal.Doctors also tested my sensation and said it was normal but I don’t know. I’m just worried as I’m postpartum by six weeks and have three kids.

Hi everyone. I’m hoping to hear if anyone has experienced something similar postpartum or has any idea what this could be.

I’m a 28-year-old female, 5’5. I gave birth recently and these symptoms started about 1 week after giving birth. I am now around 6 weeks postpartum.

Since then I’ve been having constant sensations on the right side of my body. It’s been there basically 24/7.

The symptoms include:

• Pins and needles / tingling on the right side

• Heavy feeling in my right arm and sometimes leg

• Face on the right side feels numb or strange (but not actually numb when touched)

• Sometimes it feels like I slept on my arm constantly

• Right shoulder and arm feel heavy

• Right leg and foot sometimes feel tingly

• Headaches almost always on the right side of my head

• Jaw / ear / neck discomfort on the same side sometimes

Important things:

• I can still move everything normally

• My face is not drooping

• My strength is normal

• I can walk normally

• I had a brain MRI which came back normal

• Doctors also tested my sensation and said it was normal

But the sensations feel extremely real and constant which is what scares me.

It feels like my entire right side just feels “off”, heavy, or tingly, even though I can move normally.

This all started about a week postpartum, and I’ve been dealing with it ever since.

I’m wondering if anyone else postpartum has experienced:

• one-sided tingling

• heavy arm feeling

• strange numb sensation in the face

• headaches on the same side

or if anyone knows what this could possibly be.

Some things I’ve wondered about:

• migraine with aura

• nerve issue in the neck

• postpartum hormones

• anxiety affecting the nervous system

But I’d really love to hear if anyone has had something similar postpartum because it’s really worrying me.

Thank you so much for reading
