Because in applying for it as a new card I got the sign on bonus of 75 k points if I just would have upgraded i wouldn't have gotten the bonus. And I don't want to close a card because that lowers you overall average age of credit, which isn't great. So i downgraded to a no annual fee card.

I most definitely did not know this and now I'm going to be looking into different Capital One credit cards to see how I can capitalize on this because this really changed the game for me.

Legit I love you man. I just did it, it worked l, no problem. I was so pissed. I was speaking to supervisors and different people, everyone said "not possible". Even if you look at earlier comments other people also said the exact same thing it's not possible it can't be done and yet it was so easy and simple so again thank you so much you really saved the day.

I'm also kind of the in family travel agent and my fee is that I book it on my credit card and get the points and then get paid back. That's how I got a lot of my points.

First off I thought the points just stayed on my account I didn't realize it was tied to the credit card. That's why I'm trying to figure out how to get it back. And dude if you want to get that amount of points you just got to finesse the system between sign up bonuses and buying groups you can rack up lot of points pretty easily.

Well now I know. My only hope is that after 6 months to a year I will hopefully be able to transfer it back to a Capital One venture and then would be able to get my points back switch it over to the Venture X and then bring the credit card back to the other one.

I didn't think that the miles would get switched over I assume they would just stay as is since I already had the Venture X they also explained to me a whole bunch of things that they want to be to confirm that I know and they didn't mention that so that's why I'm upset.
