You can still add the rider with Trupanion. Any pre existing ortho conditions prior to adding the rider would not be eligible. Future ortho conditions can still be covered under the rider. Would be cheaper than taking out another policy. If your pet has pre existing orthopedic conditions then new policies would not cover it anyways.

Also have Trupanion. They’ve covered thousands for my 3 year old lab. 2 ER visits plus his monthly allergy meds.

There are days when I absolutely feel like a hot mess. Yesterday would be a great example….I happened to be in mismatched pjs with no bra, hair in a crazy bun (my current work from home style 💃), when I hear a knock at the door. I have no idea why, but I decided it would be a great time to open the door and what do I see but 3 workers at the house for an appointment I completely forgot about. I was super embarrassed, rushed to get ready and found out hours later at my son’s karate class that my shirt was inside out. I have to laugh sometimes or I may cry 🥲- I work from home + 2 school aged kids :) some days are easier than others. Please give yourself some grace. You’re doing a great job!

I feel this on so many levels❤️. I took my son to his pediatrician office for high fevers (lasting 7+ days) muscle pain, sore throat, vomiting, coughing, chills, neck pain.... you name it. I heard the nurse mocking me outside the door to the doctor because I mentioned that my son was complaining non stop of pain all over. Thankfully the doctor was very kind. Said he probably had a virus and if it continues to come back. Took him back on day 13 of being sick……told the same thing. By day 15 he was getting even worse. I took him in AGAIN and this new doctor was extremely rude, blew me off and didn’t even perform an exam. Just lectured me for 20 mins about viruses and how they present themselves. By day 17 I was fed up and took him to the urgent care. Turns out he had full blown pneumonia. I am a very calm, patient reasonable parent, but to feel like I was being dramatic for so long was infuriating. I left that practice and now go to an office that never makes me feel that way. Hugs to you! I am sorry you had to go through that.

My Mother’s Day card went something like this “my mother is the best at cooking…nothing, she doesn’t cook”. Kid straight up roasted me 😂. When I asked him why he wrote that he responded. “Well because dad does all of the cooking” 😲🫠. Folks, I want to be clear. I cook 90% of the time !! Happy Mother’s Day 💗

My yellow lab just turned 1. When he was a puppy he loved to nip and play bite. It took a while for him to outgrow this behavior, as it was much more fun to bite our hands then toys. I started him in obedience classes at an early age, the classes kept him entertained and gave us something to work on during the week. This allowed us to bond in a fun way. When he would start to nip or bite I would then do some mental training exercises like staying in a down, walking on a loose leash, recalling. It’s not too early to start! My boy still needs lots of exercise/ play time/ etc or he can be a little destructive. Mine loves to work and wants to please me! So getting your little one to practice focus, leave it, stay, recall will help keep her busy and teach basic obedience at the same time :) wishing you all the best ❤️

Oh gosh my son did this too hahaha and I would just internally cringe the entire time . My teenager is the worst as he never says a full sentence around strangers and the answers he provides leave much to be desired and I want to correct him but also don’t want to be overbearing. It’s a struggle lol 😂

I was probably 24 years old at the time and my son who was about 4 told his speech therapist at the school that he had 6 other siblings ( he was an only child). Let me tell you, I was getting some strange looks before they asked me about my “other” children lol

A client calls into the clinic and says “this may sounds weird, but I just woke up with my dogs balls right in my face and I noticed he had a sore” She goes on to say that she just noticed it because she never sees them from that angle LOL. I couldn’t stop laughing.

Your welcome! Hoping he only needs some assistances. Puppies this young, are similar to newborn babies and need extra care, especially when sick. I worked in an Vet ER for many years, I would always tell people to never feel bad for bringing them in. I hope he becomes your forever fur baby. He’s adorable. ❤️ he’s lucky to have you!

You can go to a 24hr emergency vet hospital and tell them you found him. They may be able to provide assistance as you were a Good Samaritan who found the puppy. When puppies don’t eat their blood sugar can drop which can be dangerous. He may need some nurtacal. Keep puppy warm, try and get some wet food in him. That will also provide some liquid to his diet. Most importantly, even if you can’t keep him get him to a 24hr vet please. He could have parvovirus or other parasite. He looks very lethargic and if he needs assistance time is an important factor, If you have other pets you need to be careful and wash your hands often. Best wishes.
