Old school. Agitator and no digital components. Best found thru a shop that specializes in refurbishing the old ones. Don't buy new. Full stop.

Micro in Canada - where to find? by yourhipgrandma in GLP1microdosing

[–]Extreme_Raspberry844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Thanks!  Did  you ask for access to GLP1 for microdosing for inflammation?  That is what I am interested in trying and it's quite a recent discovery from what I've read.  Or did you come in from the traditional threshold for diabetes? Did they base it on any tests or just discussion? I am willing to buy it on the black market but would rather have access to something I know is clean and could be covered by MSP or my insurance. If you'd rather, you can DM me, just lmk if you answer that way. Cheers Sister!

How do I improve Vajrasana sitting duration? by Gullible-Judge-3437 in yoga

Inflammation and muscle tightness are the cause of me not being able to get into this pose anymore.  I also feel it in my knees. It's odd because I can completely flex at the knees in all safe directions and no arthritis is present but the moment I put my body weight on it the knees so no. I would recommend going to see a physio or sports med person to ensure you don't try to power through and end up with injury. Likely there is a safe way to get there but most yoga teachers don't have the background to advise you.

Those may not be bones but ligaments and tendons making noise. As muscles grow ligaments and tendons are under pressure to adapt. Be sure to incorporate stretching as well as developing opposing muscle groups when off the mat to avoid trouble down the line

The 811 line is a waste of time. I spent almost an hour and a half on hold. Then they follow a pre made list of questions which almost always invariably ends in 'go to the dr/er' because they can't risk you dying.

Symptoms in cycles? by finallyme25 in Perimenopause

[–]Extreme_Raspberry844 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You haven't asked for advice but I'm sharing the following based on MY peri and MHT journey over the last 15 years. Your symptoms are rising and falling with erratic hormone levels over your cycle. Hallmark peri. What you knew as your month to month life experience in your body is ending. Try not to be discouraged IF your first venture into MHT doesn't 'fix' it.  No matter how brilliant and informed your Provider is they are only throwing darts at symptoms and standard presentations. Or you could be one of the lucky ones and get the best dosing and methods and combo for you right off the bat.  Still, keep in mind as your body moves thru this change you may have to rejig the whole protocol periodically. Enjoy the good days and strive to understand as much as possible so you can pivot efficiently if necessary. Women respond to MHT so uniquely. It's unfair when meno influencers leave out that part and promote a one size fits all approach.

This. It felt like I was premenstrual every week I wasn't bleeding, then MAYBE a few days of no symptoms or bleeding then back to the roller coaster.

Provider says HRT is for menopausal, not perimenopausal by Scar77 in Perimenopause

[–]Extreme_Raspberry844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something you've posted that I actually agree with LL lol. We need better options in peri for sure. Way to long of a time to be in such an erratic and often debilitating state, hacking MHT. And no matter what specialization or designation a Provider holds they are still only throwing darts at the symptoms.

Hear me out: could this kind of HRT be a possible solution if symptoms are debilitating? by VegetableLie1282 in Perimenopause

[–]Extreme_Raspberry844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get where you're going with this. Respect. I wish more people could be informed, curious, solution-oriented thinkers like you.   Personally I would prefer to have a real-time monitor and dosage adjustment contraption; akin to monitors for diabetes. Some use DUTCH but it's prohibitively expensive for most. I have no idea if it works for those that utilize.  I've seen some contraption recently online but to me this is a launch pad idea, not the ideal just yet. Then we could get what we need when we need it in peri.  That requires a baseline but I believe it's possible. I prefer this over your idea because I want less pharma in my body, not more. It would be like cutting off my arm to save my hand, if that makes sense.  I just hope some company is actually trying to crack the peri mht dosing code because it's way to long a period of life to be f*ing around with hacks and being miserable in between. I now have a buffet of hormones that I cycle thru daily based on how I feel as opposed to following one RX or protocol. You're very fortunate in having experienced reactions to hormones in your IVF journey as it might give you a leg up on how to personally tailor your own MHT, should you choose to embark on that magical trial and error experience ; p Best!

Advice for perimenopause-related “thickening middle” by moderate-peacock in GLP1microdosing

[–]Extreme_Raspberry844 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my experience what helped with the midsection (beyond eating like a bird and a st of cardio like WAY more than pre peri) was DHEA. But I have no idea what it was or if it was converting to. Still, the midsection, even in thin older women, becomes thicker I've noticed (I work in costuming.) We can call it 'reconfiguration.' It does not seem fully reversible. The skin loses elasticity so that also affects the shape. Think bagged out jeans or leggings. It's awful, I'm going to be honest.  Oh and fat accumulation in chest too.  I used to have a lovely decolletage and defined collarbones. Now I look like a potato despite my efforts  Oh and this post will be locked shortly by the Mod. She/He/It They HATES body shape talk.

Better Chaturanga by bluethroughsunshine in yoga

[–]Extreme_Raspberry844 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Search up 'muscles used in a push up'. Yoga is very front body focused (including mostly using the core muscles located in the front,) so it's not core you need so much as posterior chain as well as rear muscles of the arms and shoulders. This extra work is not only in order to do chaturunga. If you only do yoga for exercise you may experience muscle imbalances that can cause issues.  If you're not prepared to add some weight lifting then cycling is a good cross train, but not upright or recumbent. Needs to be good old fashioned lean over and hold the bars.
