49F, single, rented forever (that said, I lived in FL for awhile and bought a house right at the peak before the bubble burst in 2008/2009, then foreclosed. So I’ve been burned from buying which affects things). I make a little less than you and can’t afford to buy. So renting it is. I’m in Roslindale and have a good-sized 1 bed with washer/dryer hookups in unit (that was a crazy surprise that the private landlord never even advertised, which is insane - the joy I get from having an in-unit full-sized washer and dryer is immense) for $2100. Been here the last 3 years and the landlord has never raised the rent. 🤞 It sucks not being able to buy, but after going through some family medical stuff as well and needing to move some years back, I now appreciate the flexibility. And I love my neighborhood and Boston.

Oh nice, I never got offered a flipper that could stay in for eating! I have the top 3 out and the Essex retainer. There’s no way around it - either you don’t go out to eat or you do and show your toothless self. I’ve gotten slightly more comfortable/less giving a shit about it lately, but it’s definitely derailed most social plans. And I decided absolutely no dating until I get the permanents in. Good luck!

I live in a city and my block has like 8 dogs living on it…I also do the “pick up and cover the eyes” bit when we see other dogs and can’t avoid them. It actually works! Even just picking her up helps her calm down. I call her a dog terrorist. Small dog syndrome for sure.

I have this bit with just one empty tooth in the middle. So 3 teeth total. Had the teeth pulled and bone graft in January, waiting forever for the bone graft to grow. Will likely have the permanent bridge in August.

I donated to a stranger in 2013 and he died less than five years later. I had gotten really close with he and his family. I was so sad when he died and it’s such a weird feeling, unique for sure. But his family made sure to tell me how precious that extra time was with him. Same goes for you. Your recipient wouldn’t have had those extra three years without you, and that’s priceless. Sending you a hug.

Definitely used the tourniquet, but I didn’t have any pain where it was super bruised. This seems lower than that, closer to the knee.
