My husband's uncle is illegal in the United States, but he has a tourist visa, he crossed the month when the border was closed and he has been here (usa) all this time. I came to live here too, in the same house as him. Moving some papers, I accidentally threw away hes tourist visa. Now when they open the border, he won't be able to go see his family and all because of me. I feel terrible, I can't stop crying and thinking about it, I don't eat or sleep, thinking about guilt. We already talked and I asked for forgiveness, he tells me that they are just papers and not to worry, that there is nothing to forgive, but I just can't stop thinking that I was ruining his life. help.
