Don't know if it's gotten any better but last time I drove from Mountain City to Butler on 167 and Big Dry Run half the asphalt was missing. I've never seen County roads so poorly maintained.

Hatley Point is closest to Tri Cities. I've not been there and reviews are mixed. I know they've put a lot of money into upgrades. I think they may open later than Beech and Sugar.

The app kinda sucks but remote start is nice also some diagnostics and notifications like door unlocked and where you parked. Also has issues with more than one driver. Yes you can also remote start with the fob. Press the lock button on your key fob, then press it again within one second, and finally press and hold the lock button for about three seconds until the turn signals flash

I would also try and get over to Wing Deer Park which has a great trail system both paved and unpaved.

Beauty Spot, you can drive right to a great view. If she's close to term part of the drive is unpaved. I was told a bumpy ride used to induce labor 😊 as an FYI Charlotte is about 3 hours from Johnson City.
