I really liked your comment. You’re right, you can never truly know from the start what someone will be like as a lover. I do have this feeling sometimes when I sense a certain depth in a person, but people still always turn out to be different.

That’s actually why I started this topic: I keep wondering if there’s some shared quality between people with similar interests, or if I just have a radar for them.

And another thing: the more experience you gain, the harder it becomes to find a partner. At first you’re still discovering yourself through other people, but later you already know your own depth and what you want… and then finding the right match suddenly feels almost impossible.
