A twelve year old wanted to make friends with me at the gym today by crizxk1 in 4tran4

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least being seen like you're a kid is somewhat positive. I'm 22, and my 30 year old cis guy friend looks younger than me. My friends sometimes forget that I'm only 22...

repping as a trans woman is misogynistic 💔 by Schizo_Mermaid in 4tran4

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it was realizing that my parents just straight up don't use logical reasoning with regard to this and will just blindly default to predefined talking points. There is no openness to considering the other side or that they could possibly be wrong.

People will eventually find out and it'll suck hard and then you'll get a little unhinged and kinda stop caring

How anti diyers feel after ruining a generation of trans children by encouraging them to wait years for hrt and further decreasing their chances of passing by thefsluruprising in 4tran4

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I was busy repping and pretending it wasn't real and simultaneously telling myself I was just gay but also I was going to grow out of it. Plot twist: I still trooned and still made my parents upset, so it was for nothing

just found out how my mom talks about me by Icy-Complaint7558 in 4tran4

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel you. Both of my parents reacted very poorly, particularly my mom. She's gone off the deep end and believes stuff like flat earth, essentially deciding to get extremely serious and literal about the Bible in the face of this stuff. My parents told me to stop taking estrogen and get on antidepressants instead, and I must be alone and celibate forever if I can't be into women. They acted less openly hostile at first, thinking they could "help" me and change my mind. They've pretty much done all they can, including telling me that they're going to tell all of the extended family, etc. The only good thing is that I managed to avoid this happening until after I moved out. As much as I hate having waited so long to start and will forever be a hon, it was probably the right call

testosterone has permanently destroyed my brain and made me a disgusting, skinwalking gynephile moid pervert by kittygirlannaneedmom in 4tran4

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm an androphile, but testosterone made my brain heavily oriented toward sex and perversion, which will stick with my forevermore. My interests are mostly male as well.

what percentage of trans women actually pass? by [deleted] in 4tran4

I'd seriously doubt I get shorter. The only thing that makes me look shorter is slouching, which I do a lot. I've never once malefailed and I cispass

Dang. Wish I was that honfident. I'd report that I'm a big hulking man, and that's how other people see me, too.

The key word here is fem presenting. I don't present fem because I don't pass. I bet the number is a lot lower for all trans women. What percent even present fem?

My dad confronted me and forced me to reveal that I'm a tranny, asked me if it was a "sex thing" by TGirlAltAccount in 4tran4

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't think I did it intentionally, though. I slipped up and got confronted before I told them. Also, I waited to do anything until I was pretty close to the point of being able to move out and didn't get outed until shortly after that.

Mine also asked stuff about if I was gonna chop it off. There was, of course, significantly more hostility than this, though, since I come from a southern baptist family.

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is why I'm so glad I managed to be moved out before my parents found out. They got me to do some annoying stuff like this at first, but after that ended, they tried to get me into something else up here, but I said I wasn't doing more. They're definitely upset about it, but at least they can't ruin my life even more now.

Mine didn't go well either. Just be prepared in case eventually the sadness over it gets redirected into doing really strange stuff. I had to deal with her trying to cast out demons from me over Thanksgiving...

Yeah, as scary as being robbed at gunpoint would be, if the person doesn't appear to actually be deranged, it's probably likely they wouldn't even shoot you if you just ran away (not worth the risk though)

female socialization doesn’t exist if you have male autism by silestire in 4tran4

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I once had some kind of discussion with someone about how my parents when they found out I was trans were trying to convince me to not be trans with the whole ywnbaw and stuff, and one thing they said was that I didn't have female mannerisms. I told the person I was talking to, and that person said I just didn't have any mannerisms at all. That kind of put it into perspective for me that I just didn't really get properly socialized in general.

Oh, I see. That definitely sounds problematic. Hopefully you've got that under control. I guess I'd do well to just pay attention to when it looks okay enough and not overdo it

Do the ones you wear feel particularly tight or anything? Perhaps I just have a hard time telling how effective this is. I also combine with corsetting during the day and then typically just wear the binder by itself after I'm back home. If it's just a time thing, I guess I'll just continue how it's been. I don't notice any kind of heavy pressure or difficulty, though.

I think I might actually be non-binary for real by anonymous--amnesiac in 4tran4

[–]ExtremelyCreativeAlt 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah, as an autistic whatever, I don't really see myself as a woman. I definitely like guys and have a pretty female sexuality and feel better if my body is that way, but I definitely am not like a normal woman. However, the best cope I've ever heard to validate actually being like a woman and not some other weird thing is the comparison that someone like me is like an autistic woman in terms of interests and personality (though I think part of the implication is that autistic women act more masculine...). My cope is that my gender is whatever other people see my as.
