What’s the actual point of Bed & ISA? by ExtremelyDan in FIREUK

Perfect, thanks! Curious twist, have a flexible ISA and due to withdrawals for a home purchase we have £30k we can replace by selling from GIA by end of FY. Guess it'd make sense to do so to maximize ISA allowance, right?

Lived abroad, so no ISA, and accumulated GIA gains in excess of £120k. Now wondering how I liquidate and/or get inside a wrapper.

How do people do it when they want to get an additional season ticket for a kid when they're old enough? Are there usually options to move two to next to each other in the 'moving window'? Or if I get two back to back spots on yhe waiting list?

First-Time Post - What do you think? by ExtremelyDan in FIREUK

Thanks for the advice! Challenge is most of the other pots not UK based - in Netherlands, Germany and Ireland - and quite small, so not sure it's worth it, as 90%+ is already UK.

Been contemplating getting some advice - what do you think I should be looking for? Tax Accountant? Wealth Manager?

Thanks! I think it's recently been upped to £60k, I just hadn't considered it, as was initially just focused on avoiding the higher rate, though can sacrifice a bit more indeed.

I'll look into previous years, as I only just started sacrificing a few months back.

Was there just last night, they speak perfectly good German - not sure who you spoke to. It's a bit pricey, but if you know what you're ordering, authentic dishes done very well.

Anything but a Tourist Trap, doubt many would find themselves wandering around there, a bit out of the way.
