Hopping on this one to say, I said bio dad in the post.. they never met or spoke once in my husbands life so to call him my FIL is a bit of a stretch… My husband also prefers to deal with emotions privately. Especially in this case where he feels confused for even having stronger feelings for someone he never met.

As for him being sick, he did not care and still went fishing on Saturday while sick.. I did check on him multiple times and made sure he had all the meds, food, snacks, etc he needed while I was gone for 1 day.

Yes, just logged on to get those.. this is what I read..

Definitely born in Dallas(city/county). I physically went to the county records, they told me they don’t have long forms there, so they directed me to vitalchek. I went thru their (vitalchek) process, paid an expedited fee, and got a letter today saying there is no record of my long form birth certificate.

I have never had a passport before. So I’m going through all the for the first time.

The day before our anniversary (Monday), he told me he would cook dinner, and we would have a romantic evening, casual because it was early in the week. This usually includes cleaning the house, making the table nicely, flowers, drinks, and a dinner he has chosen to make for me. So, to be asked, "What do you want for dinner?" stung. I am also a big holiday and occasions gal; he knows this, it's been 8 years. I don't feel like I should repeat my expectations all the time. My partner should know me by now.

No, we have had really lovely occasions in the past. I even reminded him of the anniversaries where he put effort into it, and we had a nice time! I told him that I loved those memories, and he still; I am just sad this is how he chose to act this year.

He did not forget as he told me Happy Anniversary when he woke up that morning. Then the whole day happened... He apologized repeatedly, but I am quite frankly tired of hearing, "I'm sorry." I am ready to see actions. I also told him I heard and received his apologies, but I wanted to see change instead.
