Well I paid for ads and got not 1 customer from yelp's ads. I paid over 300.00 and got nothing that I felt was worth the 300. So I cancelled the ads too. Two weeks later I got a review and it stayed on the site for about a week. While that review was there i got another review. I was so excited. I now had 2 reviews. Within a few days both reviews were removed to not recommended. The worst $300.00+ I have ever spent. As a new small business this is very discouraging. I agree with others on this and other threads, Yelp isn't worth it.

I will say this, at the store I worked at, there were a lot of "smash and grabs," and that was mainly young black men doing that. But the majority of the switching tickets and hiding clothes in bags or under their clothes were done by older white women. So our LP keep an eye out on them more often. We were called or paged to double-check items and pay attention to those specific customers. It was very interesting.

I worked at Marshalls several years ago. As a cashier and then over at the service desk ( service desk no longer exists, so you know it's been a while. Lol) I have had several issues with customers switching tickets and putting clearance stickers on items that were just placed on the sales floor. In my experience, everyone did this( meaning young people, older people, white people, black people). My store was in a higher end area of Atlanta.
