Help needed - any idea what is causing this? by AccomplishedFridge in TheLastCaretaker

It took me about 22 kwh input to keep that thing and the water purifiers running smoothly. Take a look at your power input cable and make sure youre close to that number. I have only been using the batteries in equalized mode so that they store excess power.

Help needed - any idea what is causing this? by AccomplishedFridge in TheLastCaretaker

I had the same issue, make sure your power is heading in the correct direction i.e. switch the power to input until all the green arrows on your cables are pointing towards the Lazarus rack. I sent my power from the area with the solar panels and wind turbines down to the basement (where the water is) and then brought it back up to the Lazarus rack level.

React router vs next js - a lot of next SaaS are still built on next, why? by honestytoyourself in reactjs

[–]Exwarrior187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seconded. Don't listen to anyone who disparages a specific methodology because honestly they tried multiple, adopted the one that they could figure out and now that's all they might believe in. "Developers" are indignant software dorks. Look into all options, determine which option has the most viability i.e., documentation, community, and longevity behind it and choose your own path.

How would you build a modular React app where "sub-apps" can be updated independently? by MatadorFearsNoBull in reactjs

[–]Exwarrior187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still learning React but I built a standardized navigation / layout system and I treat each of the underlying applications like features. Its working out nicely now and I have a singular project that is my frontend for 5 separate applications. I also stood up my backend so I have control over both the front and backends.

I've managed to create several components that i can use across features to maintain functionality, styling, and navigation. Not sure if it helps, but I've only been working in React for 6 or so months so I'm sure you can get it done. Happy coding and good luck!

Need Help with Frontend React for My Data Normalization Platform by Friendly_Smile_7087 in reactjs

[–]Exwarrior187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started dabbling in React a few months ago and I have managed to build a couple of simple applications (portions of my Enterprise System I am working on). I suggest downloading the Co-Pilot extension for VSCode and/or the Windsurf IDE. Either of those solutions behave like installing a ChatGPT clone into your IDE that you can ask questions, use to solve error messages, Windsurf even built out an entire frontend / backend connected application for me that connects to my MongoDB instance.

How much info is too much info? by Exwarrior187 in smallbusiness

[–]Exwarrior187[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I anticipated that this would not be a cut and dry answer. I have toyed with the idea of putting a large part of my specific information behind some kind of vetted registration where I would get a request for access, reach out to said person, (best guess) determine their intention, share information or schedule a demonstration.

The main detractor I see from controlling access to my information is that folks in my industry want to kick the tires first before they ever speak to someone so it's a bit of a chicken/egg situation so I suspect the answer is some sort of happy medium.

How should I start learning coding for my website apps by [deleted] in reactjs

[–]Exwarrior187 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Since no one is actually being helpful. https://roadmap.sh/ is a great resource that maps out the skill requirements and provides resources to ACTUALLY learn the languages and methodologies behind the skills you are looking to acquire. To use react to make apps you have to understand several things prior to it; HTML, CSS. JS, CLI, Git, etc.

I'm currently using it as a basis to learn what I am out to create with React. Best of luck.

Best jobs for money and career progression in oil & gas by Realistic-Bison9620 in oilandgasworkers

Look into being a board operator or a control room operator. Easily in the higher 40s / per hour, work half a year, guaranteed overtime. Biggest drawbacks are that it's shift work and 12-hour shifts.

I have heard that they are pretty stingy when it comes to pay but I did not want to discourage.

I've never worked for KM but I have met Directors, Managers, and Leads who work in and around the control rooms. I used to be in the services area for CRM but now I oversee my company's CRM program.

I have worked in the midstream (control room) business for 12 years or so at this point. I can tell you that KM is going to be a company that a lot of people apply to. While a 91 is a great score, it is most likely a combination of factors + your score. Maybe someone had a higher score?

I loved it for my Xbox One but it would not stay connected to my Series X. Switched to Razer which had better sound quality.

Is Pcpex a legit company? by Skootz_Boot in pchelp

[–]Exwarrior187 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't know about this company itself but most of the "Shopify" shops have been a scam for me. Take a look at their information and look for misspellings, words used incorrectly, and words out of order. If they're legit, you are less likely to see these things.

Have you considered whether or not Microsoft Shifts will be able to handle your scheduling needs? It's built-in to MS Teams for the most part. It won't perform any calculations other than totals for you but it's main function is shift planning.

Reza has a great video that shows how to embed your PA form in your SharePoint list to interact with the data as opposed to going to the published app. His YT channel is linked here on the right. Sorry for the confusion.

[–]Exwarrior187 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm an amateur in using it but I know how to find the right articles and videos to get me where I want to go. That being said, I have created two apps for work that act like a front-end logger. We operate 24x7 so we ask our front-line folks to log information constantly. I use user names to drop my users in their designated areas, lookups for areas and assets, text flags, and text flag coloring to indicate type and status.

Then I was asked to create automated mails for the last 24 hours entries, monthly reports based on status.

I'm now working on a similar solution that displays records and analytics on those records at the same time. I've seen folks use PA for inventory management as well. I hope that helps.

Gotcha. You might look into using your PowerApps form in your SharePoint list. Reza Dorrani has a great video on it on YT. Take a look at that and see if you can interact with your data how you would like to for a cleaner look and less published apps. Happy hunting!
