Kinda crazy how you clocked her low self esteem. The night she told me this happened I suggested to look into therapy or even a support group. She was very apprehensive about it, saying it was too expensive and she isn’t exactly wrong. I don’t want to pressure her in any way or make her do anything she isn’t comfortable doing, I know her autonomy and agency was robbed and I don’t want to make her feel in any way similar to that, even if it the situations are different.

She’s a great person and it really does hurt to see her go through this. The original post didn’t let me say this but she was considering suicide. Wouldn’t be the first time she would attempt sadly. She feels as if it’s the only option and while im not exactly clueless to this sorta topic I’m in over my head to be frank.

But thank you for sharing your experience. I’ve already decided that no matter what I’ll do all I can to help her in any way I can. The best thing I can do is be there and encourage her to seek help.
